nobody knows if they are going to make it to heaven or not. Only God knows. Here’s a question to all of you…
Do you know if you are going to Heaven when you die?
“I am already saved, I am being saved, and I hope to be saved”Here’s a question to all of you…

Dear God,God, please take Rayaan’s heart and show him the truth of Jesus.
He is full of hate towards the truth, maybe he is scared to face the truth?
Either way, dear Jesus, show him the truth, love and light that you are, and pray he does learn the truth, that you are the Son Of God and not a mere prophet.
Amen!
Classical Protestantism, being led primarily by Luther, states that all that is necessary for Salvation is the acceptance of Jesus Christ by faith. Different groups will have different understandings of what exactly makes up faith. In its least volatile form, Protestantism would say that admission of sin, repentance, acceptance of Christ as personal Lord and Savior, and the acceptance of certain basic beliefs constitute faith in Jesus Christ.
As Catholics, we believe that all of the elements listed above are essential elements to justification. However, we also believe that good works are also essential. It takes both…the good ol’ Catholic “both/and.” We reject the common misconception that Catholics “work their way into heaven.” Rather, we believe that it is only by faith that we can live righteously, and that those works of faith matter. Further, faith is not faith if it is not shown forth by works.
Matthew 5 – the beattitudes
Romans 2:1-16 – obey
John 3:36 – believing and obeying are put in parallel, the two go together
Philippians 2:12 – work out your salvation with fear and trembling
1 Corinthians 6:9 – sinners shall not enter the kingdom of heaven
2 Corinthians 5:10 – according to what was done
Matthew 25 – separation of the sheep and the goats
Luke 16:19-31 – parable of Lazarus and the rich man
Revelation 20:12 – judged by works
1 John 2:3 – keep the commandments
1 John 3:7-9 – He who does right is righteous
Luke 6:46-49 – obey the word
Matthew 7:21-23 – do the will of God
Matthew 19:16-17 – if you want life keep the commandments
John 5:28-29 – judged by deeds
Luke 10:25-28 – love the Lord your God will all your heart and you will be saved
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 – If I have not love, I am nothing
James 2 - not by faith alone, even the demons believe and shudder
Galatians 5:6 – but faith working through love
Hebrews 11 – shows examples of faith in action
Code:Heb 11:1 is usually mistranslated, should say “faith is the substance of what is hoped for, the proof of things unseen.”
Romans 1:5, 6:16, 16:26 – the obedience of faith
1 Tim 2:9 – woman saved by child bearing
Verses used to support Sola Fide – Ephesians 2:7-9 talking about works of the law and saving faith (ie faith working through love). Romans 1:16-17 however, faith is what gives us the ability to be righteous, therefore, those who through faith are righteous, shall live. It still requires righteousness.
Ivan, i was ACTUALLY being sincere in my request in that prayer, i would NEVER use Gods name and mock someone at the same time.Dear God,
DolphinLove has for some reason decided to make a show of praying to you as a backhanded way of rebukeing and insulting some other guy, please show her what Jesus said about hypocrits who make a show of praying in public
ps. What’s up with Dolphinlove and Muslims? Like did an Arab kid steal her toy as a toddler or something?
pps. this prayer is retorical, please don’t take it as a mockery of prayer, just of DolphinLove’s non-sense
Amen.
I’m sure you were sincere, that dosen’t mean you didn’t use prayer as a tool. Your have no need to type out a prayer, you certianly didn’t need to include in that prayer charges about the individual, like that they hate the truth.Ivan, i was ACTUALLY being sincere in my request in that prayer, i would NEVER use Gods name and mock someone at the same time.
I’m mature enough to dismiss bigotry and reject broad generalizations. As for yourself my lad, i know your still young and have a lot of growing up to do and need to grasp the meaning of maturity.
The Jews don’t even acknoledge he was a prophet, neither do Bhuddists, Confuscians, Hindus etc. Yet you don’t go after them with the same fury.As for my dislike of them, well its not the fact i dislike them, but i dont like the fact of how they reduce Jesus to a prophet.
So Bosnians Muslims are justafied in hateing, spreading bigotry about, and generally slandering Christians? That and my best friend of 20 years, who is of Lebanese decent by the way, had family members shot by Muslims during the war… Oh did i mention they actually shot them in front of her family?

I never use prayer as a tool to mock or belittle people. Did you actually read Rayaan’s post? Did you not see the context in which they are written? I know when my temper gets the better of me, i fly off a bit myself, and the way his post was written, was pretty much full of hate towards our religion, telling us how wrong we are! My reply to that, say a prayer for this person that Jesus will open his heart, nothing wrong with that is there?

Thanks for your answerYes, ‘Mere Christianity’ makes no distinction between Catholic and Non-Catholic and accepted in both schools of thought. His arguments are more directed towards the type of argument you’d be having with an atheist/non-Christian.
