Verisimilitude

(Iblees (Satan)) said: “See? This one whom You have honoured above me, if You give me respite (keep me alive) to the Day of Resurrection, I will surely seize and mislead his offspring (by sending them astray) all but a few!”** I tried to see the verse 17:62 but I could not find anything as you meant. You please post the verse or give the verse number again. Then we will discuss who was tempted by the devil, Muhammad or Jesus.**
( سورة الإسراء , Al-Isra, Chapter #17, Verse #62)
(Iblees (Satan)) said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all.
( سورة الحجر , Al-Hijr, Chapter #15, Verse #39)
Matthew 4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
It is openly recorded in the Gospels that Satan tempted Jesus and Jesus proved stronger.
I think it was Satan in the cave at Hira that caused Mohammed distress. Then the revelations to Mohammed stopped for a few years before starting again. Satan then told Mohammed the conversations Satan had with God about not bowing down to Adam which is the verse I quoted above. Satan was mocking Mohammed because of his ignorance and because Satan thinks God misled him so Satan vows to mislead humans. 600 years after Christ, Satan misled Mohammed and see how that has turned out today?
