rinnie;3750188]That is easy, this is the whole reason Jesus left the Church to Peter, what other reason would he have to have Peter and the Apostles for teachers, the true teachers, he breathed the Holy Spirit upon them and told them What my Father has given me I now give you. THats why we know that we cant be mislead.
I don’t see how it follows from what you say here. Its in these writings of the apostles that predicted that false teachers would arise among yourselves that would mislead many. We see Jesus rebuking some of the churches in Revelations for teaching falsely.
The whole point is to pass down the way Jesus did,and the apostles, did, read the bible it show you how they began to pass down, It is still going on today, WHat do you think Holy Orders is . ITs proof of continued passing down. Thats how we now we have the right teachers and the right Church.
This still does not address the issue of some of these teachers teaching falsely. Look at history. Many of the false teachers came from within the church itself.
We have it all Apostlic succession, the oral teaching, written and Sacred Scripture. Dont you ever wonder why the RCC is the only church that does. That is how you know the true church it must have everything. The Catholic CHurch is the only CHurch on earth that does. Thats because Jesus started it and promised the gates of hell… Now doesnt it start to make sense. See how it all ties into together.
It may make sense but is it true. All we need to do is look at church history and see the problems that resulted from thinking they cannot err.

Well, I’m sorry rinnie. Your faulty use of the 2nd person pronoun “you” made it unclear.
I could recommend a fellow who could answer your queries. Infact he/she is participating in this thread. You would really need a handkerchief to wipe out all your sweats and your memory of the bible passages would be exercised. He/She is justasking4.
I met plenty of people like him/her which made me to study more about our faith.

We see Jesus rebuking some of the churches in Revelations for teaching falsely. Yes that is why it says stay true to the Church and tradition. When Jesus was rebuking some churchs that was not the CC. It was not here yet. Think about it, the apostles started the Church after Jesus died.

This still does not address the issue of some of these teachers teaching falsely. Look at history. Many of the false teachers came from within the church itself. The Catholic Church is run by the Pope the Pope has never taught scripture false. Its not possible, you are talking about personl failures, yes as a person they can fail, but not with the word of GOd. God promised us that when he breathed on them I will give you the words. the teachers of the RCC have never mislead us with scripture, its the same, its never changed…

It makes sense yes,and it is true, what other church do you know that has all the books. Only one the Catholic Church, Yes there have been problems with man made decisions, but never with scripture or teachings of the church. Plus dont you think Jesus knows who are his true leaders and who arent. Look at Judas, Jesus knew he would betray him, but Jesus still picked him didnt he why? See you cant answer that they same way i cant answer why Jesus lets things happens he does. But im not Jesus, i cant tell you why, but I can tell you he has his reasons. And maybe what we see as wrong, Jesus had his reasons for doing. BUT what did he say the RCC would prevail. ITs the oldest Church and still here. Jesus knows what he is doing and only he knows why. I am not the person to answer why he lets things happen i am just here to say if he wills it theres a reason.

Thats okay love, im always in a hurry it seems these days, and when i talk on these boards, its like im talking to you in person, , i need to get better at it. BUt its great to study the faith, you will learn alot, how people really are misled. But we all Love God and want to learn about him. and we want the truth, need the truth, and that is what the RCC is. ITs the fullness of the Truth. Keep studying you will become addicted. ANd you will learn so much, and remember if you really dont understand ask Father in Church, he will clear it up for you . Also the Catechism of the Catholic Church is the best book you can get. It is written by Pope John Paul ll, nothing will teach you more, or make it so clear and easy to learn.

Just4 asking i answered your question, but they ran in with what you asked me, Sorry i cant seem to do that part right. But when you read your question my answer will be right after it. Again sorry i have quite mastered how to do this right.

It can also be said that if the Catholic church is wrong about these doctrines then its teaching falsely.

This is not true. The Catholic church has erred many times.
Well, since you have stated many times that you believe these doctrines are not true, then I guess that means you believe that the Church is teaching falsely.

I keep wondering why you are here?

What do you do with passages that warn of false teachers that will come in among you and decieve with their false teachings? We are warned about this for example in 2 Peter 2:1.

Or the mandate to examine everything carefully as in I Thessalonians 5:21?
It’s ok, ja4, we know you are here, and we are watching you closely. 😉

Are you trying to derail this thread also?

I was a protestant for 15 years and am now a seminarian at the oblates of the virgin Mary, a Marian Congregation. That protestant guy keeps on telling that the sinlessness of Mary was not mentioned in the bible, well protestants would really interpret literally the bible which leads to misinterpretations. Remember, it was the catholic church who did the interpretations of the scriptures! The catholic church came first okay? So if the catholic church came first, ergo, the RC is the true and genuine church! So we believe in the teachings of the catholic church because it was established by Christ himself! “Anyone hears you, hears me”.
