Well dear thanks for your imput, but as to what i have heard, is not what you say but than you can correct my querries.
- Why do sunni muslims dont consider shia muslims as Muslims? What is their relationship with other sects like Bori Muslims, Agha khan muslims and many others?
- Is it true that One of his wife poisoned mohammed and he died? if that is true, than it brings this quesion to my mind, if God saved Jesus and replaced someone else to die on the cross, than why didnt Allah save mohammed?
- What makes you feel mohammad loved Jesus and Mother Mary? as he is still in the old testament and no muslim practices what Jesus taught but do what Abraham did?/QUOTE]
First of all, not evrything is like it is perceived at first. And all things are born and die, including civilizations. I am on the wave of a global movement and do not feel like my thinking is indifferent or fuzzy.
- Ali was cousin, brotherly companion, early believer, and son-in-law to Prophet Muhammad. His successorship was only verbally given one day by the Pool of Kulthum, when the Prophet set him on a pile of saddles. When the Prophet was dying and asked for paper to be brought for a testament, Umar said “We have the Book, that is enough”.
While the election of a caliph was proceeding, Ali was washing the body of the PRophet for burial. The elderly Abu Bakr was chosen, (632-634 C.E…) followed later by 'Umar himself (634-644), who was followed by the third Caliph, Uthmân of th Umayyads (644-656) and finally the saintly 'Alí (656-661) but by then it was too late. By 666 CE, their power was consolidated, including Jerusalem. Umayyads had feuded with Muhammad’s Hashemite clan before the Mission began, and they had no hesitation to pursue the Hashemites like gazelles, like Herod did thebabes in Bethlehem. THis was the ‘beast’. Umar’s words caused a chain reaction of discord and civil war throughout the centuries.
- Now, it was asked if one of Muhammad’s wives poisoned him. I think you are hearing about one of the Imams, most of whom were poisoned. Second Imam Hasan ibn ‘Alí, was poisoned by his wife Ja’da bint Ash;ath of Kinda. It was his younger brother Husayn whose courage and strength in battle were legendary, but who was betrayed, when travelling to Iraq from Arabia, and surrounded by an army of Yazid ibn Muawiyyih, and cut down and beheaded. The passion play of his story resembles those in Christianity.
- Muhammad always spoke reverently of Mary and Jesus, and a story I have heard is that when he defaced and tore down a series of idols, he allowed the image of them to remain. Here is a verbal tradition, not from the Qur’an: Narrated by 'Ubada: The Prophet said, “If anyone testifies that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone
Who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His Slave and His Apostle, and that Jesus is Allah’s Slave and His Apostle and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit created by Him, and that Paradise is true, and Hell is true, Allah will admit him into Paradise with the deeds which he had done even if those deeds were few.” (Hadith, Bukhari Vol 4)
