The Gospel of Barnabas, until now, is the only eyewitness account of the life and mission of Jesus.

 Alhope
all your quote is historically wrong. But am interested in this sentence: which gospel of barnabas are you talking about?

Alhope, to cut things short, there is no single gosple, be it apostolic or apocryphal that agrees with the Quran. I hope you are not refering to the gospel of barnabas that Muslims refer to, since being a Catholic, as you claim, you cannot reach that conclusion when the gospel is known to be a medieval forgery that opposes even the Quran. Muslims who are eager to find anything that looks like the Quran may fall for this forgery, but as a Catholic as you say it is simply impossible.

Thats exactly right De Maria, mohammed is an agent of Satan and so is Islam. If mohammed was given the perfect law then this is to say that God, who they claim is the same God as ours is imperfect, because Moses was given the law at least 2000 years I beleive before mohammed existed so by their own Koran they blaspheme God by stating that he is imperfect because Moses law was imperfect and needed to be improved.
Islam is heresy at it’s best and Satan is wielding it against the world now more than ever.
God Bless.
The key words are, “he was the the sole witness of every revelation including the first.”

So, with all due respect, whether you accept him or not is not the question. The question is, could Mohammed prove that he saw an angel. In the absence of even eyewitness testimony, he couldn’t. And if he couldn’t why should anyone believe anything he said.

Sincerely,

De Maria

.

How do you know Barnabas is a forgery, i’m not challenging you i’m just curious as to how you reach this conclusion?

some Muslims claim the barnabas gospel is a very early gospel written by barnabas and refer to it for info against the NT.
However, the gospel in question has many medieval ideas and words that were never used before that era.

Makes sense, thank you for taking the time to answer my question.🙂

Joseph, how do you know that Allah is his second witness?? Did anyone actually hear God stating this, as what happened at Jesus’ baptism and transfiguration? Was God ever heard to say something like: “This is my beloved Prophet, listen to him.”?? All the proof you have is that Muhammad stated that God said so.

Vickie
Salaam Vickie;
No need of a second human witness is the person making the claim is truthful and already known for his truthfulness, that is because a second witness adds nothing if his truthfulness could not be established and anyway, you will always find people -who for different reasons- will question the most truthful person’s claim or witness. So, it comes boil down to what is the claim and what are we invited to, in other words what is the message and how the message answers the many existential questions we have.

Why would the Jews believe the one(s) who said he (they) heard God saying “This is my beloved Prophet, listen to him.”? when Jesus told the Jews elsewhere " And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape" JN 5:37.

Please read the following:
“Say: “What thing is most weighty in evidence?” Say: “Allah is witness between me and you; This Qur’an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Can ye possibly bear witness that besides Allah there is another Allah?” Say: “Nay! I cannot bear witness!” Say: “But in truth He is the one Allah, and I truly am innocent of (your blasphemy of) joining others with Him.” (Qur’an 006.019)

“Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah, or saith, “I have received inspiration,” when he hath received none, or (again) who saith, “I can reveal the like of what Allah hath revealed”? If thou couldst but see how the wicked (do fare) in the flood of confusion at death! - the angels stretch forth their hands, (saying),“Yield up your souls: this day shall ye receive your reward,- a penalty of shame, for that ye used to tell lies against Allah, and scornfully to reject of His signs!” (Qur’an 006.093)

And also:
“Who doth more wrong than those who invent a lie against Allah? They will be turned back to the presence of their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord! Behold! the Curse of Allah is on those who do wrong!” (Qur’an, 011.018).
Muhammad took as his witness Allah (SWT), the Creator of everything that exists . We believe the witness of Allah (SWT) to be the ultimate witness, no need for a human witness.

Allah (SWT) made his message clear from falsehood. Guidance is from Him.

"O ye who believe! Guard your own souls: If ye follow (right) guidance, no hurt can come to you from those who stray. the goal of you all is to Allah: it is He that will show you the truth of all that ye do. (Qur’an 005.105)

I know that the Qur’an does not tell you much, but to us the above is far from being human.
Salaam.
Joseph.

The answer to this question can easily be extracted by examining the content of the messages Mohammed claimed to receive. A messenger of God would never have told anyone the things Mohammed preached. It’s as simple as that. However, an ex-messenger of God could have. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the luminous being he saw was “The Bringer of Light” himself. It has long been speculated that demons still have limited access to their angelic forms. They certainly retained all of their intelligence and most of their knowledge. Which is terrifying, if you really think about it. If Mohammed really did see something, I believe it was demonic, rather than angelic.

I concur. The master of lies CLAIMING he was Gabriel.

But that also means, by Arab-think, that what he saw was a Djinn, not a fallen angel.

how do you make sure Allah is his witness if no one heard Allah or Gabriel and if Muhammad is his own witness?

Not to say that all prophets heard God. But people who did not hear God’s voice attesting to a prophet, they saw his miracles OR knew about him by *previous *prophets. This has always been the case with all the prophets of the Bible.

regarding miracles,

“Why are signs not sent down to him from his Lord?” 29:50

very legitimate question.People wanted the same with previous prophets and God provided it. Yet Allah says:

Say: `The signs are with God only, and I am but a clear Warner,’ Is it not enough for them that We have sent down to you the book which is rehearsed to them?"

In other words, Muhmmad performed no miracle except the Quran which is circular reasoning for 2 reasons:

1-it is using the question as the answer. We have been told to accept the words of Muhammad only when there has been a second witness, which are the words of Muhammad! in other words, believe Muhammad because he said so in the Quran. Therefore Muhammad and Quran are a one witness.

2- billions do not believe the Quran is miraculous in any sense when fact is, a miracle is a miracle. Notice how people who chose to refuse Jesus’ divine mission said that he is dealing with demons. In other words, they DID acknowledge the miracles yet chose to attribute it to satan. The Quran is different. It claims to be a miracle yet billions do not believe so. So the argument is flawed from a human perspective, let alone a divine one, and proven to be against all the miracles provided by God in the Bible where people saw and witnessed the miracles.

Prophecies by previous prophets:

None. God prophecized about coming prophets to assure people but when it came to Muhammad, God suddenly was unable to preserve His words and the Bible was corrupt and people could no longer find Muhammad.

All in all, no one heard or saw Gabriel, he performed no miracles, he is not prophecized, he opposes both Moses and Jesus, he claims the word of God is corrupt, yet we must believe he is a prophet because he said so, and since some considered him truthful, he must be a prophet. With this line of reasoning, i can be a prophet as well.
I know that the Qur’an does not tell you much, but to us the above is far from being human.
1-during the complilation time, did those who compile the suras rely on whether the words are not from a human origin or whether it has isnad or not?

in other words, those who compiled it did not even have in mind to differentiate between “human” and “divine” words or messages, but whether it has isnad or not. In other words, the refused ayas matched the style of the Quran but where refused because no isnad.

2- you said “to you” vs “to us” : this is mere subjectivity. When God wanted to do a miracle, no one disputed it is a miracle.

“Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah, or saith, “I have received inspiration,” when he hath received none, or (again) who saith, “I can reveal the like of what Allah hath revealed”? Has anyone here ever heard an adequate response for the following problem?

IF

the quran is the WORD of ALLAH recorded word for word.

AND

ALLAH is all-knowing

WHY does he get Christian doctrines wrong when critiquing them?

IF the quran were really the word for word WORD of GOD HIMSELF, and HE wanted to CORRECT Christian doctrines in His WORD, isn’t it reasonable that HE should have been able to describe the “incorrect” doctrines accurately?
Anyone else hear crickets chirping??
