Can you link me to any secular sources that say he existed?
You can contact Catholic Answers apologists for such - I do not have such for it is not a matter of concern - there is no question that he existed and exists.

What is important is not what some popular periodical says but what the Sacred Scriptures and the Church says. Popular magazines are written often to sell stories and if something is attention grabbing popular magazines will publish them. Such theories are simply non-reality based. And so often secular sources get so much wrong in the area of the Church - if news persons writing religion stories would write sports stories they would be fired long ago for lack of good research etc.

Though I can understand your wish to have the other sources for apologetical reasons if you run across someone who as read that popular magazine -the staff there can some sources for you- give them a call.

I wrote Ask an Apologist but doubt I’ll hear back from them. 😦

But it quoted experts in the field of archaeology etc.

Archeologists often contradict one another. It is part of the way they compete professionally, and it has a lot to do with them guessing many things based on ancient artifacts and evidence. Archeology is all about making educated guesses based on what they find and in what others have found before. Many things are believed differently today than they were 100 years ago because other things are found that point towards a different direction than what they thought then. I have seen a documentary on Moses I believe it was History channel but maybe was Discovery Channel that was actually pretty good. I’ll look around and see if I can find a link to it somewhere. If I find it I will post it here.

Truthfully the fact that Jesus spoke of Moses and Moses appeared to Him in the mountain during the Transfiguration has always been enough evidence for me but I appreciate that you need more. I applaud your efforts of seeking out truth and not just brushing things off or following blindly. Neither is a good way to go about living.

Some are not worth the sand they walk on…

Or are simply mistaken.

He did exist even if one found 100 Archeologists to say he did not. Will not change realty.

I wouldn’t believe anything in this wikipedia article about as far as I can throw an elephant. The Bible is the inspired word of God and historical divine revelation given principally to the Israelites, God’s chosen people, to prepare for the coming of Jesus; this wikipedia article is uninspired imagination. Textual or higher criticism is a theory, not a fact. What the Bible says is what the Bible says. Moses appeared with Jesus along with the prophet Elijah in the transfiguration vision when Jesus took Peter, James, and John up the mountain. Jesus also mentions Moses a number of times in the gosples and about what he, Moses, wrote, i.e, part of the Holy Scriptures such as the Law which refers to the Pentateuch. Yes, Moses existed and the Exodus is a fact of history and divine revelation concerning God’s chosen people. We ought not be suprised that unbelievers say otherwise. These same unbelievers will question whether Jesus actually existed and if he did the miracles he performed and his resurrection are myth. The only myth we have here is the myth of this wikipedia article.
I’m a little offended, as I am one of the people that edits Wikipedia to make sure it has accurate information

A lot of people are against anything Wiki says. I’m on the fence about it. When I want a quick answer, I’ll sometimes turn to Wiki.

Is the first one from the Discovery Channel?
It just says New Episode D (with a picture of a spinning Earth on it). I now see that all three are from the same video. Are all of them from the Discovery Channel?

If I linked them correctly (I’m not good at this stuff) then yes. It is one documentary in three parts about 10-15 mins each.

How can we trust the video when this is the same channel that aired The Lost Tomb of Jesus, then a bunch of archaeologists said the Tomb didn’t belong to Jesus, after all?

Of course, it’s produced by someone entirely different, with different information by different people.

Is that how?

Bottom line is Moses existed and exists. No matter what some popular magazine article says or some scientist says. You can find scientists who say all sorts of very wrong things.

If you need apologetic material to give to others - call the Apologist line - that is why they are there.
