As much as we all pray for heeling and fairness in compensation for vicitims of abuse at the hands of sinful priests, this is beyond comprehension.
How is digging up the dead from cemeteries going to serve to advance anyone’s healing?
There must be something we can all do to help the victims that does not include such horrific suggestions.
I used to belong to the diocese of Spokane and still have family in that area. I am so sad to see that the cathedral and retreat center are on the block. The people who have attended there and supported these things for decades have done no wrong, but are the ones being punished.
Pray that this can be settled in a fair manner.

Wouldn’t the cost of moving the bodies make the land cost prohibative? As much as I would hate to see a church building sold, I don’t believe the Church is the building, it is us, the people. The people who were abused deserve to be well compensated and if that means the bishop and all the priest in the area have to live in one room apartments, and drive old cars, so be it.
