If a large Host is offered, it’s okay to receive It. If a large amount of Blood is offered, it’s okay to receive It. But it’s when one starts to complain about how little they get or that they don’t receive as much as the next guy is where problems arise. Who are we to tell the Church what should be available to us when they’ve already told us point blank only a tiny amount of either counts for communion? As does spiritual communion for that matter. My dying father couldn’t receive even a small fragment because of his condition and here we are complaining about needing both the consecrated Host and consecrated Wine to feel fulfilled? If the Lord gave his diciples both species and commanded them (and by extension, us) to do so, why (unless there are apparent problems with abuses, etc.) should they not be made available to us?
