Good day to all of you!!!
My situation is this: I’m Catholic and I attend the parish closest to me, which has a lot of history and connection for me and my family. However, I’ve been feeling very disconnected lately because my parish is heavily involved in social justice issues and focus more on community instead of having a balance, the priests are from the Scalabrinian order, always talking about immigration and such. I tend to respect Tradition more and I feel as though the ones in charge of things don’t have attention for that. I haven’t been able to make good friends around my age (I’m 20) and my experience in the “youth ministry” has left me feeling very dry and since I am the older one in the bunch, I don’t want to stay there. I want something more solid in my life to nourish my faith, please pray for me. I’m still struggling with lust and resisting thoughts, and these types of things dishearten me and my search for holiness. I really want to switch parishes, but I don’t think I can, because I am an EMHC and I’ll hear people say “I’m giving up on God’s call” because of it. I really admire a Solemn Mass, especially the TLM. I live in New York City by the way. What do you say?

He has the “audacity” to characterize the Eucharist as a “divisive” sacrament, for example. A way to separate the worthy from the unworthy. Subversive but thought provoking.
