You are kidding right? What then is allahs “proper name”
It’s Allah. Allah is the proper name, of all the 99 names of Allah. Hadi is just lying. He dosen’t want to admit any differences between the Old Testament and the Qu’ran.

You are either lying or you are the dumbest Muslim in the world, and for your sake I’m bettig it’s the former. Go take your lies elsewhere, Hadi!
Did you look inside my heart to see that if I am lying or not…

which part of my post you think I lied about ??

Thank you anyway for accusing me,

Every Muslim knows Allah’s proper name is Allah. You’re either lying or you’re dumb. Out of charity, I say you’re lying, because I don’t think you’re dumb.

Every Muslim !!
did you ask every Muslim in this planet …or you think muslim think/act/believe alike ??

please do some research ,you find out that many believe that Allah is not a proper name

Again , show me in the Quran where God state (My name is Allah)

I thought I was very clear in asking for theological contradictions and not*** historical ones***
What is it exactly that you are looking for. There are many “theological” contradictions.

Just the word alone, "theological’ can mean so much which we have provided, and there is more. I believe you are spinning a web here which is typical.

From wiki on theological:
understand more truly his or her own religious tradition,
understand more truly another religious tradition,
make comparisons between religious traditions,
defend or justify a religious tradition,
facilitate reform of a particular tradition,
assist in the propagation of a religious tradition,
or draw on the resources of a tradition to address some present situation or need,
If you compare the Biblical 5 books of Moses to the koran, they are NOT the same. The 5 books of Moses like I said where written over 2000 years prior to the koran.

The koran is false, the teachings of islam is false, mohamad was not a prophet of God and therefore he is false.

Have you ever taken the 5 books of Moses and placed them side by side with the koran and read both of them for comparison?

why are you treating me like I committed a major sin !!

I don’t know what God’s proper name …Allah is the Arabic term of God
Oh good God, NO - I did not treat you or accuse you of sin. That’s your business or perhaps your continence.

I simple asked:

I’ve never heard of a muslim say that, that is why I questioned if you were “kidding”.

Yes I did.

I showed you in the Qu’ran where Mohammed uses Allah as God’s proper name. So I guess you don’t believe the revelations which Mohammed received.

I will leave you to your own devices, Hadi.

No where does the koran state that “my name is allah” and or “allah is my name”.

Perhaps it’s because allah never spoke to mohamad. Even if you read the verses/passages in the koran, you feel like a second or third person is talking.

Nick, you are right. Only mohamad uses the name allah, but the god of the koran never said "my name is allah.

And if you look at the verse where mohamad met “the angel” in the cave, the “angel” did not say that allah sent him, it used the word “lord”.

I have been reading the Bible for the last three years,If I asked about theological contradictions between the Gospels and the Quran , you might include : the Trinity, God-Man, etc… these are theological contradiction ,

I hope the above example illustrates what I am asking for, between the Torah and Quran…

as for Allah , we both agree that is not the proper name ,but Eucharisted is accusing me of lying just because I don’t fit into his definition of typical muslim

OK Hadi, again here is the definition of “theology” and I’ll just bold out one of it’s meanings.
Quote:
understand more truly his or her own religious tradition,
understand more truly another religious tradition,
make comparisons between religious traditions,
defend or justify a religious tradition,
facilitate reform of a particular tradition,
assist in the propagation of a religious tradition,
or draw on the resources of a tradition to address some present situation or need,
The bold font #3 clearly defines what we have been doing as far as “theological contradictions” between the Torah, 5 Books of Moses and the koran.

I cannot simplify it any more.

If I am wrong in the understanding, well then, anyone can feel free to correct me and show me my error.

I suggest we cease speaking with Hadi, at least for now, and allow other Muslim members to speak for Islam. It’s clear that he’s entered the Nadir Ahmed method of debating, which is to change the argument to something you prefer, then continually deny anything your opponent brings up without presenting any counterarguments. Theological discussions have been brought up, and questions have been asked to Hadi, but instead he just keeps asking, “What are the theological contradictions between the Koran and Torah,” as if this alone is the standard that should be set. Likewise, he has refused to answer anything brought up before him, and in fact has ignored large parts of people’s arguments just to reiterate his question.

It’s clear to me he’s not quite ready for discussion, and welcome any other Muslim member who’d be willing to take up for him. 🙂

We’ll keep this thread open for any koran conversations and in perhaps our muslim members, Famdigy, Meedo, Hamba and yes lets not forget Planten may participate.

I know there are other muslim members but most of them just post a question and then disappear.

We will do our best to compare the koran/quran to the Bible OT & NT.

Thanks for all so far who have participated in these conversations.

Best regards and Blessings to all,
Pam

I use whatever Internet Qu’ran I can. It’s all the same to me.

Verses are repeated for various reasons: the Qu’ran is poetic, the Qu’ran is a compilation of different translations (the other translations were destroyed, along with the original Qu’ran), and the Qu’ran is the product of man, who likes to repeat himself when speaking and writing.
Assalam,

And because the bible has some repetition in it as well, then therefore it MUST mean that it is the product of man? Your logic is not very logical

wasalam

The koran does contradict the Bible and Torah, therefore since the koran contradicts both Holy Books, the koran then is false.

The koran was created by one man and one man alone.

God allah never once spoke to mohamad to “reveal” the koran.

The koran was written by many authors from Abu Bakr to Ali to whoemever many others and then finally Uthman and all previous koran books were destroyed.

The first “so called” revelation to mohamad is NOT even in the beginning of the book - it’s almost to the back of it.

The koran is not written in “revelation” order but all jumbled up and all over the place.

The Biblical God does not send “angels” down to man to write new scriptures.

It is written in the Bible:

The Biblical God did not make a mistake for 2000 years and then all of the sudden in the 7th century God decided He fooled all of the people and create islam.
Assalam,

As you christians say (as I used to), the bible was sent to correct the torah, the Quran was sent to correct the bible. 😉

wasalam

Pam-
Are you implying only Muslims can read the Koran and what it says? You are more familiar with Koran than I. What does it say? The Koran makes my brain go :hypno:
Since you are have already gone :hypno: Just tell me:)
Assalam,

Well if you had read the Quran with an open mind like myself two years ago then maybe you wouldn’t be going :hypno:

wasalam

I have of this writing 19 posts and have been posting for about 24 hours - you’re tempting me with pride 😛
Assalam,
Pride leads to shame (Proverbs 11:2) and temptation comes from satan so tsk-tsk.
👍

I said in one thread the Islam remindes me of LDS. One man got a revelation, and then lost the source. He never performed any miracles to prove his prophet status. We’re just supposed to take his word for it.
Maybe if you were to look and try finding miracles of Muhammed (pbuh) on the internet then maybe you will find some.

wasalam

You are either lying or you are the dumbest Muslim in the world, and for your sake I’m bettig it’s the former. Go take your lies elsewhere, Hadi!
Assalam,
Before you rush into insulting someone. I would recommend that you understand that some muslims do not agree with mainstream islam similar to some christians worshipping mary while others just respecting her.
I don’t get the current argument. Is Hadi saying that Allah does not mean God? Because it does means that in arabic.

wasalam

Assalam,

As you christians say (as I used to), the bible was sent to correct the torah, the Quran was sent to correct the bible. 😉

Wow, now that’s a new one. Care to back that up with facts and sources… ?
