I’m not equating it with theocracy, which if one is Catholic is a contradiction in WORD (theo - cracy).
- I don’t know why these other guys here are trying to equate distributsim with theocracy. They do NOT have to be the same.
The Church knows it’s business is not to govern temporal organizations (coercively), but only to influence them (persuasively/attractionally).
Distributism relies, inherently, on the morality of the Church being “distributed” into the population, such that the need for the temporal (coercive) agency (the “sheriff”) to do excessive enforcement of that morality is minimized.
