  1. I don’t know why these other guys here are trying to equate distributsim with theocracy. They do NOT have to be the same.
I’m not equating it with theocracy, which if one is Catholic is a contradiction in WORD (theo - cracy).

The Church knows it’s business is not to govern temporal organizations (coercively), but only to influence them (persuasively/attractionally).

Distributism relies, inherently, on the morality of the Church being “distributed” into the population, such that the need for the temporal (coercive) agency (the “sheriff”) to do excessive enforcement of that morality is minimized.

I tried the search and also used the book search. Not much there other than the three people I mentioned and books on Social Teaching (which is another area I am researching). I know I need to take the notion in context with other teachings on the Church, but I like definitive discourse on subjects.

It is just I am using it for development of a philosophical plan based on other threads I have either created or am participating in at the present time.

Picked up Beyond Capitalism & Socialism: A New Statement of an Old Ideal by Kirkpatrick Sale at Borders tonight. Figured it was a good starting point.
I use to be a globalist, but not any more. That started when I read Small is Still Beautiful: Economics as if Families Mattered by Joseph Pearce (I am thinking of getting it back out and rereading it. In fact, as I read more and more about Distributism, I am becoming less of a Capitalist and more of a Distributist.

This may come in handy since Society and Civilization is on the verge of implosion.
