IMHO gender ideology studies should be taught… Just not like in the way they are

IMHO they should teach it in a way that still makes sure to say that it isn’t a choice, most people DO indeed match their sex, and as for neutral pronouns… Why not use “they”?

Then again I’m some random person with biased opinions on the internet

It’s an interesting article, and it’s true, too. “Ideology” is all it can ever be, because it’s flat out impossible to change genders. One can surgically alter oneself, but beyond that, hormones and body and brain chemistry are unchangeable. Sex changes amount to nothing more than window dressing. It’s a decisive step beyond transvestitism, but it’s still only skin deep. Ultimately, the mental illness aspect of the entire subject just becomes unavoidable. I’ve never felt even the slightest animosity about it, but it’s just make believe, and it really is absurd to pretend otherwise.

Because “they” is plural so it is not a correct replacement for singular pronouns. In casual conversation, it may not matter much except to some grammar nerds but in writing, precision is important.

“He” and “she” work just fine.
