There is a statue of St Joseph with the Child Jesus right above the Crypt altar. JMJ,

Hi Ricardo!
In my parish too (Santa Maria Ausiliatrice, Milan), we have a nice statue of St Joseph with the Child Jesus and I like it very much! Note as our faith brings the seashores closer…

After I learned how to pray the divine mercy devotion. I really wanted to get an image of the Divine Mercy for my home. I had a picture in my mind of exactly the size, frame color and image. God obviously read my mind because a little catholic bookstore opened up and when I went there I asked if they had the image. The store owner found only one which was hidden behide a bunch of other paintings in the back. It was just the right size, exactly as I imagened, the inscription was even in the language of my upbringing. I was so amazed. I consider it a gift from God.

Sometimes, though, I feel the sensation of something “not good” lurking. When this happens, I bless myself and say the Hail Mary and all feels well again.
Hi Anniemart!

It’s amazing to see how the Grace of God, the presence of God, drives His daughters and sons to turn all the troubles in advantage, better: in Glory…
Owing to the gift of God, even though we are sinners, we may “perform” better than King Midas, who turned whatever he touched into gold.

Jesus I Trust in You. Jesus I Trust in You. Jesus I Trust in You.
I have had that feeling every so often ever since I can remember … especially when I am about to go to sleep… I used to say Hail Mary,s and all would feel right again…The only way I can describe the feeling is… lets see… like a child who was holding his (her ) mother,s hand and all of the sudden is not… Then Mother takes the hand of the child again and all is well. I have often wondered if its the presence of evil spirits that causes this feeling of uneasiness. Dunno… but glad to hear I,m not the only one who gets this feeling at times.

I was in the hospitol at 15 after being hit by a car and told the nuns I couldn’t pray… they gave me a Rosary to hold in my hands… I felt much better…even though I was in a state of shock and could not focus on the words, I felt a maternal comforting presence. …As if someone was saying ''Its all right ‘’

I am beginning to feel that way about the chapelet now. There is talk in some threads about devotions that protect us from the forces of evil. …
Jesus… in the Diary… tells us what to do to drive Satan back to the depths of hell.

I am finding out the magnitude of this devotion as I read the Diary. What keeps coming back as recommended to us is… humility… trust…acts of mercy… and prayer.

Howdy! 🙂

I’m pretty sure now that when we pray the chaplet and recite Jesus I Trust in You, and profess our Love for the Father, the evil one just writhes in pain and anger. Father, keep us safe within your robes of mercy.

Do any of you pray the stations of the cross after the 3:00 hour?

I sometimes will pray what is called the “Mercy Stations” after the Chaplet of Divine Mercy… I had posted about it before so will just copy and paste what I had written about it before below:
In addition to the Divine Mercy Chaplet Our Lord asked St. Faustina that if time permitted for her to also pray at the Hour of Mercy (3pm) the Stations of the Cross or “Mercy Stations” as they are also referred to. Does anyone else pray them as well?

They are very much like the Stations of the Cross and are prayed this way:

Before each station say: “Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

After meditating briefly on each station one says: “have mercy on us and on the whole world.”

And you continue in the same pattern of the “Eternal Father…” meditation on the Mercy station…and “have mercy on us…” Then you end by saying 3 times… “Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One…Have Mercy on us and on the whole”.

The 15 Mercy Stations are:
  1. For the sake of His institution of the Eucharist as the memorial of His Passion…
  2. For the sake of His agony in the Garden…
  3. For the sake of His being scourged and crowned with thorns…
  4. For the sake of His being condemned to death…
  5. For the sake of His carrying the Cross…
  6. For the sake of His falling under the weight of the Cross…
  7. For the sake of His meeting His afflicted Mother…
  8. For the sake of His accepting help in carrying the Cross…
  9. For the sake of His receiving mercy from Veronica…
  10. For the sake of His consoling the women…
  11. For the sake of His being stripped…
  12. For the sake of His being crucified…
  13. For the sake of His death on the Cross…
  14. For the sake of His being buried…
  15. For the sake of His being raised from the dead…
God bless
(This is my last post on CAF and it is fitting that it be in a thread on the Divine Mercy Devotion… Our Lady of Soufanieh shower those with the sin of pride in self-promotion the grace of the virtue of humility)

Thank you Maryam…

I wish I could pray this excellent <> however 3 PM is rush hour at the office… Neverthe less my cell rings and I try to recite at least 3 short prayers to honor the Divine Mercy.

I have copied your post for use on the weekends when I have more time at 3 PM. Again thank you.

This is your last post on CAF ? Sorry to hear that. Is it ok if we ask why ? I hope its not because of health reasons.

    Hope to hear from you,

I recently learned that this is the original painting restored … the original Divine Mercy image.

Why do we see another version most of the time ? ( Granted I do like the new one too. ) Just curious. Does anyone know ?

Whenever I feel down, or the evil one forces doubts contrary to the Mercy of God, then the Litany of Mercy all dispels them, as Saint Faustina recommended it to doubting sinners, like me.

I don’t always have these fears, but we are tested at times, I can go to being over zealous, to downright despondent and back again.

Divine Mercy, gushing forth from the bosom of the Father, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, greatest attribute of GOD, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, incomprehensible mystery, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, fountain gushing forth from the mystery of the Most Blessed Trinity, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, unfathomed by any intellect, human or angelic, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, from which wells forth all life and happiness, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, better than the heavens, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, source of miracles and wonders, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, encompassing the whole universe, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, descending to earth in the Person of the Incarnate Word, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, which flowed out from the open wound of the Heart of JESUS, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, enclosed in the Heart of JESUS for us, and especially for sinners, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, unfathomed in the institution of the Sacred Host, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, in the founding of Holy Church, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, in our justification through JESUS CHRIST, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, accompanying us through our whole life, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, embracing us especially at the hour of death, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, endowing us with immortal life, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, accompanying us every moment of our life, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, shielding us from the fire of hell, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, in the conversion of hardened sinners, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, astonishment for Angels, incomprehensible to Saints, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, unfathomed in all the mysteries of GOD, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, lifting us out of every misery, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, source of our happiness and joy, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, in calling us forth from nothingness to existence, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, embracing all the works of His hands, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, crown of all of god’s handiwork, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, in which we are all immersed, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, sweet relief for anguished hearts, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, only hope of despairing souls, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, repose of hearts, peace amidst fear, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, delight and ecstasy of holy souls, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, inspiring hope against all hope, I trust in You.

Eternal GOD, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.

Its very interesting to read the personal aspects and details of devotions....In our own little way.. aren,t we each writing our own << Diary >> ? I think its great that we relate to each other how we deal with our lives and the problems of existance.

The Eucharist has taken on new meaning for me since I have started the Divine Mercy devotion. Now I offer our Eternal Father the body and blood .. soul and divinity of His beloved Son..And Today I said <<We offer >> because for the first time.. I asked Mary to offer to << our Eternal Father the body and blood , soul and divinity of His beloved Son...>>. In the <<Diary>> Jesus tells us that the Eucharist is a strength in difficult times. I believe this to be true. Its helped me a lot.

Amazing....God has His eye on us all... In addition, I believe in the special graces and considerations which Jesus promised those who embrace the devotion to His Divine Mercy..

Many thanks for sharing this with us,

In the Diary is something Jesus calls for more than anything else.

It is trust…trust in his infinte and unfathomable Mercy. More than once Jesus exclaims how His Mercy is beyond comprehension.

‘’ The greatest of sinners would achieve great sanctity if only they would trust in My Mercy’’ # 1784

‘’ Distrust on the part of souls is tearing at my insides ‘’ # 50

‘’ Sooner would heaven and earth turn into nothingness than would my Mercy not embrace a trusting soul. ‘’ # 1777

Sadly, we too often ask and then make a plan B … just in case. One thing this devotion has taught me is to stop making plan B’s and trust in Jesus. ‘’ Jesus, I trust in You ‘’ .

I bring to Jesus my frustrations… the people I cannot seem to reach…I entrust all of my burdons to Him and say ‘’ Jesus I trust in You ‘’ I know He hears me…and in the Diary He promises to help those who trust Him…They can ask Him anything…anything… He will grant it if it is in keeping with His will.

We are told that when we come to Him in trust and pray the chapelet we will obtain so many graces that those graces will overflow to others.

‘’ Pray as much as you can for the dying’’ # 1777… He wants us to pray for one another so that others will benefit from our faith and trust in Him.

Jesus, may our trust in You grow like a tree planted close to the waters of Life.

I believe the image we see most often is the Hyla which if I remember correctl was Pope John Paul II’s favorite depiction of the Divine Mercy.

This is also the version I have displayed at home. In the same room I have a framed Sacred Heart. I try to say the Stations of the Cross @ 3 PM as often as I can remember and make the time for it. I was trying to make the First Saturday devotion, but I lost my transportation about two months ago, so I’ve not been able to continue for now.

I was just looking at the bus schedule this morning to start taking my son to an AM daily mass, so maybe I stumbled on this thread to encourage me to pick up the first Friday devotion starting this Friday. I think I would like to try.

Does anyone have their image of the Sacred Heart enthroned? I’ve not done so with mine, although I would very much like to do so.

Yes this is the one I have too, although when the first was painted Saint Faustina wept because the artist couldn’t do justice to what she saw, but Jesus said it would do.

Not enthroned, but have had the Sacred Picture in my home and my parents home for as long as I can remember.

The Sacred Heart Devotion was big in Ireland, hardly a house where you wouldn’t see one, it has waned a bit, but I’m sure it will comeback someday.

sorry for the ignorance…no disrespect intended. What does it mean “enthroned?”

Jesus I Trust in You. Strengthen my prayer life, my Lord and my God.

YES! In fact that is where I bought my Sacred Heart picture, in a gift shop @ Knock Shrine. Everyone had the same picture in every home I went to, so I felt compelled to have one of my own just like it. It’s only an 8 x 10 image, but it’s by far the prettiest depiction of Christ I’ve ever seen.

I found this image on ebay Ireland, this is the same one I have, but mine is smaller. Christ’s right hand is covered by the enthronement statement on my copy.

(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

It’s so special to me. I didn’t even know what enthronement was when I bought it. When we buy a new home I hope to invite my priest over and have it enthroned.

Annie, if you’re interested in having a Sacred Heart enthroned in your home, you can buy one with the enthronement statement @ The Catholic Company. I think this is a really pretty one. I would love to see this devotion revived around the world!

Yes thats the one that was in my home since childhood, it always took centre place on the wall, right above the mantle piece.

I don’t know where it since my parents passed away, probably with some of my brothers or sisters, well there are 14 of us.

Anyway I have a different one that is right at the top of my stairs, was in St Vincent De Pauls shop a few months ago and my eye was drawn to one, so my cousin who runs the shop said take it with you.

But I left some money and brought it home, I don’t have a home for it yet, I have so many pictures hanging on my walls.
