What exactly does it mean to “offer” the Eucharist to God, as in the Divine Mercy Chaplet? How can I offer his greatest gift? I just don’t get it.

This is a thought: Since Jesus was the “Lamb of God” and He is our Perfect Sacrifice, perhaps the word of the prayer is just in keeping with that idea, that Jesus is the Sacrifice of Atonement, and as a sacrifice must be offered. I don’t know how accurate that is, but it is a thought.What exactly does it mean to “offer” the Eucharist to God, as in the Divine Mercy Chaplet? How can I offer his greatest gift? As in “Eternal Father, I offer you the body and blood, soul and divinity of your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world”?What exactly does it mean to “offer” the Eucharist to God, as in the Divine Mercy Chaplet? How can I offer his greatest gift? I just don’t get it.
My $0.02: We have all offended God and there is no way that any of us finite, imperfect mortals can do anything to atone for the sins we have transgressed against an infinite, perfect, immortal God. We can try to do good works here on Earth but even a lifetime of good works cannot atone to God for even one small sin.
The only thing we can offer in atonement to God is the one perfect, infinite, immortal gift of His Son who chose to be with us and be given up for us. The prayer is an acknowledgement that I personally have nothing of value to offer to God but His Son has given me the gift of HImself in the Eucharist and it is that gift that His Son has given to me that I humbly ask God to recall and I freely give back to Him.
When I pray this I am asking God to recall the sacrifice His Son made for me and I am hoping to unite my unworthy self in some small way to the worthy sacrifice of the Cross.
Sorry if I am a little jumbled, I have it clear in my head but the words are not doing it justice.

To atone for their sins the Jews offered a lamb as a sacrifice at passover. This was an imperfect Sacrifice, however, that had to be repeated every year.
Christ is our Lamb, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. One Sacrifice, one time covers everything.
So in the Divine Mercy Chaplet, we are offering our Sacrifice to God, just as the Jews offered theirs.
