Maybe the OP doesn’t feel comfortable discussing the details, and that should be fine.
As for divorcing, I hope the OP can work to save their marriage. If the marriage isn’t sakvagable, then I would say a t the very least, a legal separation.
We don’t know all the details, and for all we know, the OP could be in an abusive marriage.
If the OP chooses to divorce, that is between the OP and God.
Hi Graceful Lamb,
I never respond back because I dislike hijacks on people’s threads. But your question is relevant to* Still Hoping* as a poster.
I completely understand why anyone would have a level of discomfort when posting deeply personal issues on an internet discussion board.
But, *Still Hoping *voluntarily began his/her thread rather than ask his/her questions on someone else’s thread.
By starting his/her own thread,
Still Hoping leads us to believe he/she wishes to have a discussion about his/her issues.
But, then he/she discusses nothing.
We don’t know what the “real” issue is. Everything
Still Hoping has posted has been esoteric and hypothetical. This is disingenuous and indicates a desire to deceive.
If
Still Hoping has come to this forum with the hope of finding support then I implore Still Hoping to review his/her posts and try to be more clear about his/her issues.
Minimally,
Still Hoping should tell us if they are a husband or wife. Men and women have different roles in a marriage. Mothers are different than fathers. Wives are different than husbands.
If society knows this…then
Still Hoping knows this.
But, if* Still Hoping* has come to this forum expecting to manipulate kind-hearted people into saying what
Still Hoping wants to hear so
Still Hoping can use it as a weapon against his/her spouse…then I urge people to be wise with their speech.
I welcome honest posters. As I stated earlier, I think people giving advice on this forum are wise.
Still Hoping, I have no doubt I have strongly offended you.
So, I say to you: If you have come to this board honestly, then I offer my most humble apologies. My goal is not to offend but to clarify.
But, please allow me to offer an observation:
If you are unable to clearly express your issues on an anonymous faith-based internet chat board full of people who want to listen and pray for you…then is it possible that you also might be bad at communication with your spouse?
And maybe you might need an intermediary to help you with your communication skills with your spouse?
Several people have recommended a priest or a counselor. I urge you to look into this.
