You want to show compassion for babies? Promote universal government-paid pre-natal and delivery services for all women, regardless of their ability to pay. Not just Medicaid people, but everyone, because many abortions come from the middle class. Such a proposal is more likely to come from the left than from the right.

I’m sure the right has good selfish reasons to oppose immigration, but it can hardly be called compassion. Besides, there are ways to help refugees that do not involve immigration. They don’t do that either.
