Prove there is a heaven through material evidence then prove there are souls then prove that animals have souls and then maybe the question can be asked if animals go to heaven. Myself, they pass on just like we will.

Do Animals go the heaven?

Let’s discuss this

Let us all pretend we are blind then we shall discuss the color blue.

We could argue forever and no one could agree because we just do not know.

I am not a proponent of fidoism. I was made in the image and likeness of God my dog was not. Christ Undid what Adam did it would be kind of pointless for animals to go to heaven then, as dogs would not have Original Sin, nor do they have an inclination to sin. if they haven’t got sin they haven’t got a need for Redemption

As not everything you believe in meets the standard of materialism, it’s a little unfair to hold those views yet simultaneously demand that religion be materially proofed.

Love and beauty come to mind as examples.

Like I love my beautiful pooch. Which I vaguely hope will be in Heaven while also thinking she probably won’t.

Sorry Bailey 😦 You’re a good’un.

Tell you what; is there anyone in your life that you love? Parents? Siblings? Spouse? Children? Friends? Prove it through material evidence.

AFA the Magisterium of the Catholic Church goes, there has been no declaration.

Yes, there are individual Catholic theologians who have made argument for and against,

But the Church Herself? She has never taken a position as far as I can tell.

Sure they are there for me and support me. 🙂 😉

I agree that not everything meets a material standard of evidence but with the way many religious people talk the soul is a physical thing, if it is then it should be able to be measured. Also if it is physical and can be measured surely then heaven should be or hell for that matter.

Soul not physical.

Like my dog’s soul, if extant and heaven-bound, won’t be physical.

One could say the same about God and the saints.

You’re evading the question. You want proof on your own terms but cannot use the same terms to offer proof of the things you cherish.

No intelligent religious person is going to say that the soul is “a physical thing.”

You’re grasping at straws.

:banghead:

The Church has spoken on this.
This question brings out the WORST in posters.
