Do Catholics not watch Cavuto?

I was listening to Neil Cavuto on Foxnews on XM when he went thru viewer emails regarding his discussion yesterday on the “fast track” canonization of JPII. Man, not 1 positive email. Everyone bashed him for discussing it and bashed Catholicism. Do no Catholics watch this show? FNC has tons of Catholic anchors… Until I get a local Catholic radio station or XM carries EWTN, I’m stuck w/ XM and listening to FNC.

I didn’t see this show…but am not surpised at some of the responses…Cavuto is a really nice guy…and Catholic…but you can bet some of the ones who emailed …well maybe they were neither…
 
I saw it. I just have a hard time with stuff like this. I hear it and have tons of things that I say to the screen but never email or call because I feel like it won’t make a difference.
 
It was horrible. The responses as I can recall them were:

-Neil, this is a show about business. When will you realize no one cares about Catholicism and it isn’t the predominant religion in this country?

-Neil, you and Mr. Moody are spending too much time around men in dresses.

-Neil, my mother was a wonderful woman, should I be praying to her?

-Neil, the bible tells us praying to anyone other than God is wrong, why should we pray to some dead man in the belief he’s a saint?

Now, those are rough recollections but pretty close, I believe. I couldn’t believe how bitter they were. I mean, Fox had wall to wall JPII death and conclave coverage. I thought this may have brought warm feelings to some protestants. I know it pushed me over the edge and into RCIA finally. I guess all these fellow red-staters were cringing the whole time. What a shame.

Oh well, that is all easy to explain. They are anti-catholic fundamentalists. We must realize that most american protestants hate the Catholic Church and do not consider Catholics to be Christian.
 
Actually, I’ve gotten my e-mail put through before on his Fox News show…it was during the Papal election, and was in regards to dissenting Catholics who “feared” the election of Pope Benedict… 😃
 
I love Cavuto…and I don’t really like talking or watching ecomomic shows. I wouldn’t worry too much about the emails. Just the fact that Cavuto continues to put his faith forward is commendable. I don’t think he’s overly concerned about what they think. He gets a lot of emails that are just nasty to him in general.

FOXNews does pay a lot of attention to their emails. I have not written to Cavuto but I did get an email posted on OReilly’s show once and I also wrote a note to Alan Colmes once and he immediately replied to me…he was very nice. So write…they read it!

LOL, Alan Colmes seems like the kinda guy that would personally reply to an email. I don’t share most of his views but bless him for putting up w/ Sean Hannity.😃

Yeah, Cavuto has taught me a lot about business. I never watched or listened to business shows before. He’s pretty entertaining. It’s a shame what lengths he’ll go to to work in clips of VS models.:o
 
I watch Cavuto when I can remember to turn him on. He is very vocal about being a Catholic and seems to be, from where I sit, sincere.
