Sure I’ve cried at times…when my Mom and Dad passed away…when pets I’ve had for years have passed away…I shed a few tears when 9/11 happened…I saw those poor people (on TV) jump to their death out of those burning towers…some sad movies… or documentaries about the Holocaust etc… although if I’m watching them with my wife I tend to turn away so she doesn’t notice…I guess it’s that hang up that men don’t cry…sometimes I’ve laughed so much I’ve cried.
I love laughing till I cry! 🙂 I wish it could happen more often !

I will say, when I got the call that my grandpa had passed away, I didn’t cry for a long time. It was my last year of college and I was celebrating the end of finals with a bunch of friends at their apartment when I got the call from my mom. I just felt empty. I didn’t really know what to do, didn’t even tell my friends. I just sat on the couch and sipped a few beers and made distracted small talk until the end of the night. The next day I stayed at my apt all day by myself just thinking.

It wasn’t until about a year later when I was surprised by a toast at a family & friends gathering where I was told that my grandpa would have been proud of me and would have loved to be there that I broke down and cried. Don’t know why it happened that way.

My eyes are dry, I don’t cry.

I mean it. About the last time I came close to doing it was at a bittersweet part of some movie, a couple of years ago. It was loopy.

If you want to cry, be my guest. I just don’t do this. When disappointed, I grit my teeth and tell myself to move on.
