Do most women TRULY appreciate good men?

Anyway, I agree that men have this problem, too. That being said, however, if an indisputable argument using concrete unobjectionable facts and evidence is presented to a man, he will be forced to admit that he is wrong. Can the same be said for all women? Not if they are adamant that they know it all.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry…need a moment to wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes. Seriously? You can make this comment with a straight face? You’ve never met a bull-headed, “I may not be right but I’m NEVER wrong”, “my way or the highway” man?

Just as you cannot say that all women are willing to listen to reason, neither can you say that all men ARE willing to listen to reason and behave rationally.

What would anyone think of a woman who does not want a “good man”, a dreadful man, or any man? What of the woman who has had a gut full of negative experiences and chooses to live quietly alone? I can’t think of anything I would rather be than alone.

That’s okay, you can devote more of your time to prayer and good works then.

Sorry guys were mean to you tho 😦

Surely you don’t think you’re always right, right?😛
If what I say is consistent with infallible ex-cathedra Church teachings, I am correct. It would not, however, be me declaring something, however, rather me reiterating that which has already been infallibly declared.

If someone else says something that is irreconcilable with divinely revealed Truth as pronounced by the Catholic Church, then that person is wrong.

If someone says something that I disagree with, but that is neither confirmable nor deniable by the official doctrinal teachings of the Church, then there is a possibility that I could be wrong.

As a side-note, while its a hobby, not a career, we race cars together (autocrossing 🙂 )
👍 👍 👍

What car do you run? One you guys worked on and modified yourselves?

I race track in the summer months and do a lot of enduro and motocross in the winter months. You just can’t beat the feeling of 990cc’s of raw muscle pumping out 175 BHP’s thumping between your legs  😃 😃 😃

Speaking of STRAIGHT faces, has anyone else ever DARED question the sexuality of these two emoticons? :hug3: If so, then you really need to get a life, as there are FAR more important things to worry about, other than what those two emoticons may be feeling in their hearts.

For example, this emoticon thinks he’s cool  I think he is stuck-up and arrogant, if you want my honest opinion.

Back to this issue, though, yes their are some men who refuse to admit they are wrong out of stubborness, ego, and pride. I think when women act that way, though, they genuinely don’t believe that they are wrong. Maybe, I’m wrong about that, though.

I suppose this begs the question, “If a man is talking in the forest, and there are no women there to hear him, is he still wrong?”

Number one reason for breakups I have been anywhere near: Man was mean or bossy and woman dropped him for it.
Number two reason: Both felt they were better at being friends/no attraction/someone attracted to someone else. Male/female initiative in these breakups – about half and half.
Number three reason: Man unstable in some way – arrested all the time, mentally ill, moody, can’t or won’t keep job long enough to get by, too changeable. Woman doesn’t want that and leaves him.
My idea of a good woman: One with character and good values, who meets her responsibilities.
Whom I have seen end up with such women long-term: Men who have the same qualities, and are reasonably decently groomed and self-supporting or willing to care for home and kids instead.
What I believe about men who say they have movie star girlfriends who can’t stay away because they like being disrespected::rotfl:

I’ve found this thread highly entertaining. I do love that challenging word-play between male and female. Nobody’s going to change their opinions on the subject but it’s fun trying!

And why shouldn’t I have the chocolate! He went to the pub for a beer!

Some men think they are cool. Take this clown for example. He think’s he is such a cool dude. Why are women drawn to that? Chances are, he’s a womanizer. He isn’t going to respect her.

Now, this guy needs to switch to decaf :extrahappy: :coffee: ,but that is beside the point.

Back on topic, do you think any woman ever mistook this guy 🙂 for PacMan, and tried to date him for celebrity status and to get his money, too?

I think when men are wrong and pretend to be right, it is done out of stubborness, pride, and ego. When many women are wrong, get proven wrong, and still won’t admit it, I think that it is because they genuinely can’t process the fact that they are in fact wrong, since their emotions tell them they are right. Of course, I could be wrong about that.

I’m sure we will eventually, but now we just race a stock Ford Focus (the same one we drive to work 😉 ) Eventually I’d LOVE to do our own modifications. That would be awesome! (Although I know VERY LITTLE about the internal workings of cars. I’m better at the internal workings of people.)

Mind if I sit by you and eat my chocolate?

I didn’t know you were specifically talking about Church teachings. Why date women who don’t agree with you on Church teachings then?😛

Hi WG!👋

The few posts that OP has made, he seems to be using church related arguments to win over his woman. If they do not listen or cannot grasp the message and the truth, then he is frustrated.

I have to agree with your post above. These women are not good picks for the OP. He cannot convert women - they need to convert on their own time. Why no seek out Catholic women that are in agreement with the faith?

I’d tend to say that the OP is making poor choices for relationships and then blaming the women he has selected to date. Even worse, he is now extrapolating his experiences to include all women.

hi yourself:)

I didn’t realize it was mainly about Church teachings, until the more recent posts. I agree with you–people need to convert to truth in their own time…we can’t forcefeed the faith to people. It would be far better to seek out woman who are believers of the faith.

It’s not a question of agreeing with ME on Church teachings. It is a matter of agreeing with divinely revealed truth that was handed down from the Apostles, and preserved by God’s grace, illuminated by the Holy Spirit. I merely affirm that reality, which would still be reality, irrelevant to my views on it.

Yes I do. I look for them but usually when I find them they only want to be friends and show a preference for the Barbie doll types with all looks and no brains. I still appreciate them even if they aren’t interested in me. I like confident guys and tend to be drawn toward that sort. Nice guys don’t always come off as confident. I think sometimes I’m too independant which seems to attract the player set for some reason and deter the nicer guys but I can’t and won’t change who I am. 🤷

Understood. However, the Holy Spirit has blessed you with the gift of Faith and understanding and you have listened and decided to open your heart to God. Honestly, some people are not as open to the gift as you have been and hear but do not open up.

So stop picking those women and focus on women already in communion with the Church. You’ll find that if the woman is a good match for you and you share a common faith, things can be very easy in a relationship - or at least easier then what you are describing.

I know what you meant…I think you should date women who agree with Church teachings, and who are devout Catholic already. Not every woman is going to agree with Church teachings, because many are not Catholic. Are you dating cafeteria type Catholics?

Great thread. “Many” women *want *good men but they are *attracted *to “bad boys”…good men seem predictable, bad boys seem “enigmatic” and are usually “good-looking” and very self-confident…they smell manhood and power so to speak…human psyche is complex…my 2 cents…

Not bad points…I think that too, when a woman grows up in a chaotic family, where there is no predictable stable behavior being shown by her parents/guardians…she will seek out someone who is also chaotic…bad boys can sometimes be the default for many women who grow up in dysfunctional homes. But, for many…they want stability…and thus, don’t seek out the bad boys.

I’ve dated predictable and unpredictable types…but I’ll take my (handsome), predictable husband any day.👍 Yes, women…especially women who have dated ‘bad boys’ ***really ***appreciate the nice ones.
