Hello,

Recently I was wondering if Jews, Muslims, and Christians worship the same God. After much thought I concluded we do not worship the same God. I concluded since the God of Abraham is the Blessed Trinity, and Muslims claim Allah is one God, and the Quran has many claims that Allah is not the Blessed Trinity and is not God the Father of the Blessed Trinity, and Jews and Muslims deny our Lord’s Divinity, which is not a good thing to do, we do not worship the same God.

After concluding an answer I decided to post some information regarding the question of whether we worship the same God. Although it seems the Second Vatican Council and Catechism of the Catholic Church states we do worship the same God, it seems they intend that Christ died for them just as much as He died for you and me, and they are capable of converting to Catholicism because they have a free will just like you and me.

Thank you ( ^ _ ^ )!

Welcome to the forum. 🙂

We worship the same God but our beliefs about His nature are different.

Their gods are demonstrably different. Their gods are demonstrably not the god of Abraham, the god of Isaac, the god of Jacob.

Yes and no.

Yes we all worship the God of Abraham.

No in that we see our Creator very differently in our respective faiths and doctrines. It is here it can get very lengthy and confusing.

Thank you all for replying ( ^ _ ^ )!

It seems I am a bit confused regarding how Muslims, Jews, and Christians worship the same God. The best conclusion I can think of seems that Muslims, Jews, and Christians worship the same God, however how do Muslims and Jews obtain to be in a state of grace or obtain the salvation of their soul? Regarding my knowledge the only way of obtaining salvation outside the Catholic Church is through Baptism of Desire or Baptism of Blood.

Thank you all ( ^ _ ^ )!

You are both mistaken. No, they do not worship the same gods. Of course he who is behind them is one. Satan. But you hardly expect to be worshiping Satan.

This is demonstrable.

👍 (My emphasis) Irrefutable!

Hello Dendron,

I am not sure how Catholics worship Satan, because Catholics believe in God as Three Divine Persons and He became Incarnated in the Virgin Mary so all people may have the opportunity to persevere in a state of grace until death with the intercessory of the Saints to help us. Although I am not sure, Muslims seem to worship the same God as Catholics, however have different perspectives that may be true or false. There is much studying to be done for me regarding this topic, however Catholics and Muslims do not worship Satan. I am not sure if Muslims believe in the existence of Satan, however Catholics and Muslims do not worship Satan, rather Satan is the prime enemy to be hated by all of humanity, as God said He would put enmity between Satan and our Lady in the book of Genesis.

Thank you ( ^ _ ^ )!

At this point the theology gets deep (deeper then I can go) as far as salvation but I will leave a thought Padre Pio mentioned. When people came to him about an atheist in town saying he was going to hell Padre Pio looked at them and said “you would be surprised.”

It is not my place to judge the end salvation of another person since I do now know what is written in their heart. I can judge actions and such to a point but in the end I cannot make a statement like all Jews and Muslims are saved or not saved.

Some of the issues you run into here is a long discourse on interpretation and rejection of the Messiah by Jews and various translations of the Koran (which is very controversial to the Islamic community) and so on.

However, Christ died on the cross for everyone regardless if they know/knew it or not. So in the end when have him to thank for our salvation even if you do not realize it. (One interpretation of “the only way getting to the father is thru Jesus”)

Satan is the god of those who live on earth. See the book of Revelation. Allah is a proper name & not the name of the god of Abraham, the god of Isaac, the god of Jacob. Allah has no son. Trinity is an aberration:

The Spirit is not = God:
And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. (Revelation 22.8, 9)
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy [the Holy Spirit]. (Revelation 19.10)
The Son is not = God:
Surely the princes of Zoan are fools the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish how say ye unto Pharaoh I am the son of the wise the son of ancient kings (Isaiah 19.11)
Jesus is Son of God = son of the wise & Son of Man = son of ancient kings e.g., David. The root & offspring of David.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14.6)

Hello SinnersAnonymus,

Thank you for replying ( ^ _ ^ )!

Yes; if I remember correctly the Church teaches to judge or correct an action of a person and not their person. From many times I have seen many arguments and confusion regarding if Muslims, Jews, and Christians worship the same God. I may read Robert Spencers’s book regarding Islam if it is nihil obstat. I will pray for you and for an increase of understanding among all Jews, Muslims, and Christians if we worship the same God. Let us entrust ourselves to the Immaculate Heart of our Lady we all may conclude a correct understanding if Muslims, Jews, and Christians worship the same God.

Thank you ( ^ _ ^ )!

There is a lot here that you seem to have already accepted as truth leading to modern day Arianism (Jesus is not divine but man). I will pray for you since there is probably not much I can do/say to dissuade you from said path.

Be carful of what thoughts you embrace as truth or you may end up being the slave of the evil-one.

:blessyou:

Immaculate what?
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. (Mark 6.3)
Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? (Matthew 13.55)
There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome; (Mark 15.40)
Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s children. (Matthew 27.56)
Mary had children after Jesus.
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. (Matthew 1.25)
Wake up, the end is near.

Hello Dendron,

It seems you have posted many personal interpretations of Scripture. 2 Peter 1:20-21 states, “Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the Holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.” In the Gospel of Matthew Christ gave apostolic authority to the twelve apostles and entrusted the Church to Peter and the apostles and instituted the Sacraments so when He Ascended into Heaven we may not have been helpless here on earth as all humans are vulnerable to Satan, his iniquitous angels, and temptation to sin who try to obtain the damnation of our souls. I will pray for you, as I am replying not to win an argument, however to obtain the salvation of your soul.

Thank you ( ^ _ ^ )!

Jesus is not = God. Jesus is Son of God & Son of Man. The Son of God is the concept of God begotten of God’s eternal introspection. The Son of God is eternal, he is the Logos, the realm of the formal, the mathematical & conceptual space.

The Son of Man is the shadow of the Son of God. Creation owes its existence to the eternal slaughter of the Son of God. This is shadowed by the slaughter of the Son of Man for the sake of Adam.
