If Christians place so much importance on doing prayers in private, then why build Churches at all?
(heavy sigh…)If Christians place so much importance on doing prayers in private, then why build Churches at all?
Sounds like boasting to me!Muslims, particularly the men, are encouraged to perform the salat prayers in congregation at the mosque.
On the other hand, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) advises that non-obligatory prayers are best done in the prvacy of one’s home.
How’s that for striking a nice balance in matters of worship?
Nice try, but you did not answer what I asked! Do Muslims ask God to have mercy on the whole world? One of the names of the Creator is the Most Merciful and Muslims do indeed continually pray for His Mercy.
Some do and some don’t.Do Muslims ask God to have mercy on the whole world?
Sadly this information is all completely false. The Arabic word this site is actually describing is ‘ilah’ not ‘Allah’. ‘Allah’ is a unique word and cannot be used for anything else than God, and it most certainly cannot be pluralised like the writer has done with ‘Allahs’, there no plural form on the word.I posted this information on a different post, it is from Father Trosch. You may look more in depth in what he has to say I just posted some interesting facts from his site trosch.org/bks/islm/allah_false_god.html.
The generic term “allah” is translated into the English equivalent “god.” It can be used to relate to any concept of deity including pagan allahs’, totem pole worshippers allah, the allah of the Hindus, the allah of the Buddhists, or the allah of witchcraft otherwise known as Satan. Christians in Muslim countries can properly use the term Allah in reference to Jesus, or Allah the Father, or Allah the Holy Spirit with the difference being that the members of the Holy Trinity are the true God.
The concept “Allah,” the Muslim idea of a single being they consider “god” with supposed eternal existence, portrays only an unmotivated and undifferentiated being. The multiplicity of gods of the ancient pagan Romans illustrated the recognition of a need for motivational variables in relation to creation. In this sense the Roman’s concept relating to creation is superior to that of Islam.
ctically speaking, Allah can only be a fabrication of man’s imagination. Allah is a human construct that serves humanistic purposes. The concept Allah should be seen as a totally unmotivated existence without purpose or need for using reason; a being without impetus to create. Allah is an imaginary construct, not a reality. It is a construct in part formulated by using Judeo-Christian teachings (Scriptures) derived within Mohammed’s imagination in association with his wife who financially provided for him. Mohammed’s first and only true wife was a Catholic-Christian (who highly venerated the “Blessed Virgin Mary”). The only form of Christian of that place and time frame.Code:Picture the purported being of the concept known as Allah. It is a presumed creator but was not created and that was without having reason to think, to develop ideas, to use language, nor did it have the availability of images or beings to reflect upon in order to have or develop thought processes. In other words Allah represents the concept of existing blankness, an empty intellect.
Allah is a non-existent being constructed by Mohammed through a perversion of Judeo-Christian teachings. Any Christian who accepts as real the non-existent god termed Allah, or associates it with “Yahweh” of the Biblical Trinity, is heretical and risks eternal damnation if not repentant. – Quotes from the Koran, the holy book of Islam - emphasis added:
The Qur’an rejects the concept of the “The Holy Trinity”: [Surat 4.171 – “O followers of the Book! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth; the Messiah, Isa (Jesus) son of Marium is only an apostle of Allah and His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His apostles, and say not, Three. Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one God; far be It from His glory that He should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, and Allah is sufficient for a Protector.”]
There is a lot more information but I think that this gets the main point across.
I’ll be honest, I usually pray to thank God for keeping me alive, keeping me out of trouble (this includes looking like an idiot) and occasionally I ask for a favor. I’m always humbled. One of the names of the Creator is the Most Merciful and Muslims do indeed continually pray for His Mercy.
I never said that! Some do and some don’t.
Are you saying that it is any different when it comes to Christian prayer?
This has been answered before! Let me ask you, since the Quran states that Allah does not accept any other religion but Islam, will Christians go to heaven??According to the teachings of Christianity, can non-Christians reasonably expect to enter the kingdom of Heaven and escape the fires of Hell if they do not accept Jesus as their Lord and personal saviour?
See… This is where I think everybody has it wrong. It’s not up to anybody on Earth to decide the rules of acceptance into Heaven. It’s just not that simple, the instructions are NOT written down anywhere, period. Accepting Jesus Christ or accepting Islam is not a golden ticket, and unless I hear it from God himself, I wont believe it just because it is “written”. One group says one thing, the other says something else. maybe you’re both wrong? Some do and some don’t.

It is best that the Qur’an itself answer your question:Let me ask you, since the Quran states that Allah does not accept any other religion but Islam, will Christians go to heaven??
I also read these verses in your Koran:It is best that the Qur’an itself answer your question:

**Certainly you will find the most violent of people in enmity for those who believe (to be) the Jews and those who are polytheists, and you will certainly find the nearest in friendship to those who believe (to be) those who say: We are Christians; this is because there are priests and monks among them and because they do not behave proudly.
And when they hear what has been revealed to the messenger you will see their eyes overflowing with tears on account of the truth that they recognize; they say: Our Lord! we believe, so write us down with the witnesses (of truth).
And what (reason) have we that we should not believe in Allah and in the truth that has come to us, while we earnestly desire that our Lord should cause us to enter with the good people?
Therefore Allah rewarded them on account of what they said, with gardens in which rivers flow to abide in them; and this is the reward of those who do good (to others).**
As you can see, the important thing to note here is that Paradise awaits those Christians who do good AND who recognize the Truth that is the Qur’an.
If they do not get so overcome with emotion whenever they read the Qur’an that their eyes overflow with tears when they recognize the Truth, then it is very likely that they are not the kind of Christians who will be rewarded with a place in Paradise.
Christians who recognise the Truth of the Qur’an will naturally follow the path of this Truth and embrace Islam. Thanks for letting us see the discrepancies in your scripture![]()
This means you believe that the Koran considers some Christians Muslim??? The Christian that embraces the alleged true path in your scripture becomes a Muslim and cannot be called a Christian anymore! Why does your book call those converts “Christian” even after their conversion then?Christians who recognise the Truth of the Qur’an will naturally follow the path of this Truth and embrace Islam.
I do not see any discrepancy here.
We are all flawed. Some may aim at staying flawed.Interesting.
The fact remains however that it is difficult to know God, even in a basic sense, if anybody had the answer then we wouldn’t be having this discussion, now would we
Does the fact that there is disagreement mean that none of us are right?Whenever somebody makes a point, even a strong one, somebody else invariably has a counterpoint. You can argue with a Muslim till you’re blue in the face and it will go nowhere. The only way to quiet them is to actually do what God commands us to do… which apparently is impossible.
I believe Islam is evil. The author of evil is Satan, a created being. Moslems worship a created being. So… Who are the Muslims listening to when they blow themselves (and a bunch of other people) up?
It’s an odd stance that they take, indeed! This means you believe that the Koran considers some Christians Muslim??? The Christian that embraces the alleged true path in your scripture becomes a Muslim and cannot be called a Christian anymore! Why does your book call those converts “Christian” even after their conversion then?
Not directly but it does indeed do this indirectly because the Qur’an commands Muslims to obey and follow Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the Sunnah certainly explains the details of the salat and all other aspects of worship. It doesn’t even tell you how to do salat does it?
The much more important question here is whether ot not Jesus (pbuh) himself would choose you over Muslims.I choose Jesus over Muhammed.
That’s not what it means at allMatthew 7
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven. Only those who do what my Father in heaven wants will enter.
22 “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord! Lord! Didn’t we prophesy in your name? Didn’t we drive out demons in your name? Didn’t we do many miracles in your name?’
23 Then I will tell them clearly, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who do evil!’
This warning by Jesus is directed at those who call him “Lord” and do things in his name.
Muslims do not do this.
Notice how it says “Not everyone”21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven.
This warning by Jesus is directed at those who call him “Lord” and do things in his name.
Muslims do not do this.
