Do my Rosaries not count if I’m not kneeling?

Because of the dozens of scorpions crawling aoround my floor every night, I tend to pray in bed. Or in my car.

Yeah. As much as I hate the fact we had snow until April, I’m SO glad that I don’t have to deal with scorpoions.

I have at times prayed the rosary while asleep.

During lucid dreams when I feel a nightmare approaching, I start praying the rosary. For some reason, I always seem to have a rosary with me in the dream world. This has occurred to me several times already.

I always do the Glorious mysteries in these dreams.

I can usually find them!

I used to listen to a cassette of Mother Angelica saying the rosary. My mother gave it to me years and years ago. I should start doing that again.

If you fall asleep, your Guardian Angel will finish for you.

[You and your Guardian Angel are partners!]

My mom always said that about the angel because if she tried to say the rosary after a certain hour at night, she would always doze off.

There are nice YouTube videos of Mother Angelica and her sisters praying the Rosary. I also like the ones with Fr. Peyton. His accent is so nice.

I wonder if the Saints who were known to levitate in ecstasy were not in a prayerful enough position.😃

Maybe they were in a super-powerful position.

Levitation is a sign … not necessarily welcome … but a powerful sign.

I hope not. If I knelt down, it would take a crane to get me back up. My kneeling days were over many years ago. If you can kneel then kneel. If you can’t or don’t want to, prayer is good no matter what stance we take.

I’ve had this happen to me as well. The dream seems to carry on with its actions and characters, but through it all – like a banner across the bottom of a television screen – I’m praying the rosary. I love those nights! ❤️

A very long time ago Catholics used to pray standing up with their arms outstretched like Jesus on the Cross.

St. Faustina calls this her simple mortification as she prays the Rosary on Fridays like this.

The price I pay for living in an abandoned Roman fort in the Egyptian desert…

I’m not sure what you mean by “count”?

If you say the rosary and increase in virtue and holiness as a result, then yes they count.

If you say the rosary and believe that they accumulate like some sort of currency reserve to be used later, then no.

That sounds very comforting! I once woke up reciting the Agnus Dei part of the mass which was very strange but comforting also though I don’t think it was me alone, probably my angel as my singing is terrible and my Latin even worse 😉
