Sorry for getting a little long winded there.… In other words … “they are fallibly preaching and teaching regarding the infallible Word of God”.![]()

That’s the key to their scam they have going. They want the even less educated people to believe that these preachers are teaching the word of God correctly, without ever admitting that they’re very fallible. It’s often a power trip to believe God is “leading” them to say one thing or anther, when it clearly conflicts with God’s teaching. It’s one of the largest cons in history. How true! And the sermon they give on the passages they have just read are their own form of fallible oral traditon even though they will never admit it as such.
Yes, that’s false advertising from these Fundamentalist/Protestant “preachers” borrowing unearned legitimacy for their “preaching”. The inference is if the Bible can interpret itself, then their preaching “can’t be wrong.” But, the Bible doesn’t, and their preaching is wrong from the very foundations of their false theologies. It is ironic, though, that I have heard many televangelists, and many on these message boards, claim the Bible can interpet itself.
I mean no offense … but in the spirit of constructive criticism this exchange sounds like an editorial.Yes, that’s false advertising from these Fundamentalist/Protestant “preachers” borrowing unearned legitimacy for their “preaching”. No one looks around to see that all these guys claiming that the “Bible that can interpret itself” or is “plain and needs no interpretation”, have preachings that often irreconcilably conflict between one another. Why isn’t this a giant red flag, or do the people seeking Protestantism just want it their own way instead of God’s way?![]()
I welcome constructive criticism, but please keep in mind for the future that this kind of thing must actually contain something constructive.I mean no offense … but in the spirit of constructive criticism this exchange sounds like an editorial.
We who know with certainty what God has established to continue His mission see in your chosen member name “1voice” exactly the concept that Christ established for His true teachings via the papacy and Magisterium for His Catholic Church to be united in one Body.I mean no offense … .
… Editorials are opinions. I pointed out that the exchange is editorial.I welcome constructive criticism, but please keep in mind for the future that this kind of thing must actually contain something constructive.
Since you had difficulty parsing it, here’s some assistance. My words were truthful.
Some insight: They hit a nerve with you who are doing exactly what I warned against.
Additional insight: Those who oppose Catholicism, either wittingly or unwittingly oppose the truth.
A recommendation: Stop rejecting the truth, and you’ll do much better.
Historical fact: Protestantism was not started by Jesus. It never existed for 1500 years of Christianity.
Truth of fact: Protestantism is not God’s Church, but man’s ecclesial communities.
Another recommendation of love: If we want to love God, we must do it His way, not ours.
Truth of love: His way for us is Catholicism.
When the “opinion” is truth, it can’t be relegated simply to one’s individual opinion, as much as those who feel uncomfortable with the truth would like to do so. It was really a statement of truth, meant to make one think. I was hoping it would have some benefit for some, but to have benefit, you must be open to and embrace the truth.… Editorials are opinions. I pointed out that the exchange is editorial.
Here is an example of proper use: Lacking God’s fullness of truth, Protestantism is made up of many individual editorials differing and often irreconcilably conflicting with each other. I hope you understand now.… Editorials are opinions. I pointed out that the exchange is editorial.
If you’re confident that the Catholic Church is not the true Church established by Jesus, here’s a chance for you to make a difference in whatever ecclesial community you belong to, even i if it is just one person… yourself.… Editorials are opinions. I pointed out that the exchange is editorial.
The God given MANDATE to Teach [Matt.28:19-20] does apply to not ONLY all prist; bishops and religious; but in accordance to our talents; to every single Christin and MOST CERTAINLY every Catholic.=joe370;7733586]I am told that the Catholic Church cannot teach infallibly, via the guidance of the Holy spirit. When non-Catholic church Pastors and Ministers preach and teach from the pulpit are they fallibly preaching and teaching regarding the infallible word of God?
LOL!If you’re confident that the Catholic Church is not the true Church established by Jesus, here’s a chance for you to make a difference in whatever ecclesial community you belong to, even i if it is just one person… yourself.
If you can prove that Catholicism is false, I’ll donate $25,000 to your ecclesial community and in good conscience I must leave the Catholic Church immediately because I could never be in a false religion.
If you can’t, then you donate $25,000 to God’s Catholic Church, the parish that I designate.
Are you up for it?![]()
You’ve expressed an opinion now, that I didn’t present facts… Regardless that what I presented passes the tests of truthful statements. It’s quite clear you have nothing which with to challenge the truths I presented. I notice you didn’t take up the challenge offering your ecclesial community $25,000, did you? Why is that (this is rhetorical BTW, we know why it is)?LOL!
I didnt challenge your facts… there were none. Just opinion.
… If that’s not constructive in your mind … thats ok.
If I didn’t speak the truth, then obtaining $25,000 for your ecclesial community should be pretty easy. Why then not take me up on the offer?LOL!
I didnt challenge your facts… there were none. Just opinion.
… If that’s not constructive in your mind … thats ok.
Any debate would have to assume that the Papacy is supreme and final word on doctrine and that the only true Christian leaders throughout history were under allegiance to the Papal line recognized as true and correct by the Roman Catholic church …You’ve expressed an opinion now, that I didn’t present facts… Regardless that what I presented passes the tests of truthful statements. Like I said… lacking the constructive part in your criticism leaves it as something else altogether… just unjustifiable criticism for personal defense of those who fear the truth. This is not at all constructive for anyone, but perhaps viewed as “constructive” by you as an attempted personal defense from the light of truth. Why would any Christian defend their self against the truth?
Why not?Any debate would have to assume that the Papacy is supreme and final word on doctrine and that the only true Christian leaders throughout history were under allegiance to the Papal line recognized as true and correct by the Roman Catholic church …
I would not agree with those ground rules …
… as far as making a bet … and making it the point. LOL! I give to God and manage my money according to his will and not your goading.
If you want to debate …
Here I’ll start.
Peter was not the rock upon which the Church is built.
The ground rules are simply that you have to prove the truth of Christ is that He didn’t make the Catholic Church to continue His mission. It can be any doctrine of Catholicism. Proving even one wrong shows it is not the infallible teaching Church protected by God guided by the Holy Spirit. Proving Protestantism is false is quite easy, and it means that Protestantism is man made, not from God. If you want to debate the papacy, please start a new thread… in truth, you have only unfounded opinion and no truth behind it.Any debate would have to assume that the Papacy is supreme and final word on doctrine and that the only true Christian leaders throughout history were under allegiance to the Papal line recognized as true and correct by the Roman Catholic church …

Good job… you’ve won the “debate” 1voice presented!Why not?
Making a vague statement, such as you did, does not give any explanation to be refuted, or do we only have to say, ‘yes he was’.
Does it show that I’ve been honing my debate skills?Good job… you’ve won the “debate” 1voice presented!![]()
So, are you willing to put money where your mouth is, or not? You say you donate to God, and this would meet that criteria… a donation to God’s work in His Church. Gee, I wouldn’t put money on the line either if I was promoting the nonsense you are. But, that’s the least of the reasons I don’t promote nonsense. If you want to debate …
Here I’ll start.
Peter was not the rock upon which the Church is built.
That concept is built on a misinterpretation of the text.
The word rock in the Greek has 2 spellings and 2 meanings in that passage.
You are Peter (Petros - masculine form ) and upon this rock (Petra - feminine form)
