At one time, there were many Christians who believed that black people were inferior to white people because they bore the “curse of Cain” and they used this to justify slavery. To these Christians, this teaching was very clear in the Bible. Just because something was taught and believed in the past does not make it correct.
True, but It was not universally believed or held as a dogma by the Church nor was it held by all Christians from the beginning. Homosexual acts have been universally held and taught by God’s people, even your denomination, from Moses to now as mortal sin and contrary to natural law.
