HelloHello Ikddav,
You can google her, but it is best that you read her book. It is all true and well documented. A true miracle from God.
You know who elses’s story I found unbelievable? A woman by the name of Anne Catharine Emmerick. Her book is titled “The Passion of Our Lord, Jesus Christ”. She lived EVERY DETAIL of our Lord’s death. Every pain, every sorrow (she too had the stigmata).
I once gave a girl who was very much into the Wicca, once she read this book, she converted. She thanked me so much and at the same time had great sorrow in her heart for not seeing Jesus as she should have. She is now a devout Catholic.
This woman, anne Catharine Emmerick was the one who said Jesus descended into hell (the creed) and took Judas out. She saw everything that went on. Quite a book.
csun.edu/~hbeng151/icc/studies/account.htmlThe upright post, or stipes, was generally permanently fixed in the ground
at the site of execution and the condemnded man was forced to carry the
patibulum, apparently weighing about 110 pounds, from the prison to the
place of execution. Without any historical or biblical proof, medieval
and Renaissance painters have given us our picture of Christ carrying the
entire cross. Many of these painters and most of the sculptors of
crucifixes today show the nails through the palms. Roman historical
accounts and experimental work have shown that the nails were driven
between the small bones of the wrists and not through the palms. Nails
driven through the palms will strip out between the fingers when they
support the weight of a human body. The misconception may have come about
through a misunderstanding of Jesus words to Thomas, Observe my hands.
Anatomists, both modern and ancient, have always considered the wrists as
part of the hand.
Thanks Daniel. I didnt know about the Pericardium. Most if not all “stigmata” are faked — simply put the wounds are in the wrong place. Cruxificition, the wounds would be in the wrist ( not hands ) and in the ankles ( not feet ) and the spear would puncture the front from right to left just under the rib cage, not on the true side as pictured in so-called stigmata pictures.

The Spear punctured the Pericardium, anyone with military experience of killing will know that this is down with an upward trush from behind using right hand just where the rib cage meets forming the upsidedown V.

Oh my, where did you ever get this from?? Every non-Catholic is a skeptic, even proof of things, they still will not believe. This is such a ridiculous analogy of a miracle from God, I can’t stop laughing. Most if not all “stigmata” are faked — simply put the wounds are in the wrong place. Some Muslim mystics have received the wounds of Mohamed on their backs, corresponding to the wounds he received in battle.mark a;3828137:

Why would God give you stigmata of wounds that were not the same kinds of wounds as Jesus had?Oh my, where did you ever get this from?? How do you know? You don’t.Stigmata in and of themselves mean nothing.
St. Pio was not canonized for being a stigmatic, but for other reasons.
Example?
I have also read that the stigmata can manifest itself in a way that is familiar to the person it has afflicted (ie nail wounds appearing in the wrists instead of hands depending on images seen by the person afflicted). And the phenomenon is not exclusively a Christian one. Cases are also known of Muslim stigmatics who bear wounds that correspond to those known to have been suffered by Muhammed (c. 570 C.E.–632 C.E.) while doing battle.
Sorry, don’t buy the Muslim “stigmata” because it is a false religion.I have also read that the stigmata can manifest itself in a way that is familiar to the person it has afflicted (ie nail wounds appearing in the wrists instead of hands depending on images seen by the person afflicted).
What do you mean by “false?”Sorry, don’t buy the Muslim “stigmata” because it is a false religion.
Do you deny that Islam is in a fight to the death with Christianity? What do you mean by “false?”
The Catechism states:
841
The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”
We are in agreement than many things they believe are false. However, does this make their religion entirely false? As far as worldviews go, they are closer to the truth than most are. Some of the core beliefs of their religion make it a mostly true religion rather than a completely false one.
But like you, I am also very skeptical stigmata outside of our faith.
Blessings,
JB
The vast majority of Muslims do not want to slaughter Christians Cathdefender. There are numerous places in the world where Christians and Muslims live side by side in peace, though they may strongly disagree on religious grounds.Do you deny that Islam is in a fight to the death with Christianity?
Because if you do deny it, you’re in for a rude awakening. It is a false religion, because it is not of Christ. And anything that isn’t of Jesus Christ, is a false religion.
Cathdefender;3826430:
Therese went into deep contemplation one day. She visualized Jesus with the cross on his shoulder. Thinking about the spear thrust into his side, she suddenly was aware of an acute pain in her side. She felt it and her hand was covered in blood. It continued for several hours witnessed by her sister-in-law.One particular is Therese Newman, a 20 year old peasant girl from Konnerseuth was a volunteer putting out a fire. It was 1918. She was standing on a chair passing pails to a man on a ladder, the heat was intense, . She felt dizzy and fell head first.
For the girl, Therese Newman, the ordeal had begun. She was badly injured. She was sent home from the hospital and was fast becoming an invalid. Her eyesight started going and by the end of 1918 she was bed ridden, blind and an invalid.
Fast forward:
On Good Friday the wounds appeared on both the palms exactly where Jesus was nailed.
**Therese stigmata remained with her for 36 years. She gave up eating for the last 35 years of her life! She survived ONLY on the Eucharist and nothing more.

Hello
This is very interesting, do you have a source?
Thanks
les
Chronicity or severity has nothing to do with origin. Neumann actually was the source of Mel Gibson’s characterization of the Jews in his movie, The Passion, since her visions were violently anti-semitic.
It is interesting that she has never been canonized or is even close to it, despite all her manifestations.
I’ll wait for stigmatics to appear in the US and be worked up in some major medical center. Amazing that they don’t appear here.

Was Neumann the source for Gibson’s movie? I thought it was Anna Katherina Emmerich.
