The official answer is yes.

Maybe…

Well, heck, only 1 in 20 ADVENTISTS will be saved (according to a vision of Ellen G White), so while its officially yes, the real answer is 1 in a million… maybe. 🙂

Sorry MarysRoses,

This is absolutely not true. Some from all denominations will be saved. We believe that there are those who have not lived up to the light they have been offered. Those people will be lost because they put the word of man over the word of God. Does this mean Catholics will be lost in our opinion. Absolutely not. If you have lived up to the light God has given you then you will recieve the seal of God. If you have based your entire faith off of what your family, pastor, or even the pope says, you (in our opinion) risk recieving the mark of the beast. The only safe bet is to know your bible. Study it like you belong to no faith. Objectivity and dedication are the key. At the very least, you will be able to provide an answer to those who question your faith. If I asked you how you felt about the subject of the antichrist, mark of the beast, and the 3 angels message, could you tell me? If not, you should study some more. It is possible to be sincere in your beliefs… and be sincerely wrong. (no pun intended)

God Bless

Is that really what you think I said?

By the way, the Sabbath does not originate with the Jews. It was created on the Seventh day after the creation of man. I already posted this on another forum so no need to get into it again.

God Bless!

Messenger,
In your opinion, what is the Seal of God? What is the Mark of the Beast? Finally, what are the three angels messages. Specifically. Thanks

What three angels are we talking about? Do you have a Bible reference, or was this from Ellen White’s teachings?

It is from Revelation 14:6-12

6 And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, having an eternal gospel to preach to those who live on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people;
7 and he said with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.”
8 And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality.”
9 And another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or upon his hand,
10 he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
11 “And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

Ok, that’s all basically in the same verses. I had forgotten those verses.:o

Sorry MarysRoses,

This is absolutely not true.
Funny, I’m quoting a statement made by Ellen G. White.

Look at my ealier posts for detailed info on the quote and its provenance.
Some from all denominations will be saved. We believe that there are those who have not lived up to the light they have been offered.
Translating Adventist speak for those who aren’t familiar, ‘light’ means the Adventist ‘message’. Sabbathkeeping, health reform, prophecy theories and their prophet, Ellen G. White. People in ‘other denominations’ will have had to never have ‘heard’ the adventist ‘message’. While there might be someone in a remote area who hasn’t been approached by Adventism in some way, that would be darn few eligible folks.
Those people will be lost because they put the word of man over the word of God.
Translation of Adventist speak: If you trust anyone but the Adventists to interpret scripture, you are toast. They claim bible only but use Ellen White and other Adventist commentary to interpret scripture. We all, even the most vehemenent Bible-only fundamentalist use something, if only one’s own education and culture, to interpret scripture. It doesn’t interpret itself, regardless of what claims to the contrary.
Does this mean Catholics will be lost in our opinion. Absolutely not. If you have lived up to the light God has given you then you will recieve the seal of God.
Translation of Adventist speak: Since I’m a former Adventist, and have been given the ‘light’, I’m TOAST. Considering the ‘seal of God’ to Adventists is the Saturday sabbath, how many Catholics are sabbath keepers? So really, while they make it sound good, is it reasonable that they really think Catholics will be saved? Another bit of Adventist speak they don’t explain, to be ‘sealed’ at the end times, you have to come out of the ‘apostate’ church and accept the sabbath. So really, it isn’t about saving Catholics as Catholics, as they will have to REJECT the Church’s teaching and believe as Adventists do that a Saturday Sabbath is mandatory and begin practicing Adventist beliefs.
f you have based your entire faith off of what your family, pastor, or even the pope says, you (in our opinion) risk recieving the mark of the beast.
What do we base our faith on? Babies aren’t born knowing how to read the bible. The bible itself didn’t float down out of the sky all gilt edged and bound in morocco leather, all pre approved and assembled by the heavenly bookbinders. People of faith for centuries have preserved the faith they were given and passed it to their children. Often without the aid of reading and writing. Often even without a bible, remember, the bible in its present form didn’t exist until at least a couple of centuries AFTER the apostles.

I can agree we shouldn’t be entirely uncritical of our faith as we have received it, but sowing distrust in one’s foundation often leads to people ending up with NO religion, after having been burned by some eager proselytizer.
The only safe bet is to know your bible. Study it like you belong to no faith. Objectivity and dedication are the key. At the very least, you will be able to provide an answer to those who question your faith.
Another nice sounding Adventist speak, but really deceptive. It subtly suggests that unless you doubt what you’ve been taught, you will believe a lie. The power of suggestion, 'If you don’t believe like us (adventists), you’ve been deceived, because Adventists are ‘objective’ and ‘dedicated’. How realistic is that when Adventist beliefs are far from mainstream Christianity? They would like us to believe that all of Christendom got it wrong for 1800 years before they came along with the real deal. I know a sales pitch when I see it.
If I asked you how you felt about the subject of the antichrist, mark of the beast, and the 3 angels message, could you tell me? If not, you should study some more.
Translation of Adventist speak: Antichrist = Papacy,
Mark of the Beast = Worshiping on Sunday,
The 3 Angels Message = Seventh-day Adventism as the remnant church of the last days.

Another sly suggestion that Adventists know more than they are telling. It makes people curious, and receptive to hear more of what they are peddling. Hooks, buzzwords, suggestive leading, its ALL in there. Again, nice sales pitch.
It is possible to be sincere in your beliefs… and be sincerely wrong. (no pun intended)
Yes, and there are many sincere Adventists, no pointed comment intended.😃

The Apostles repeatedly warn us in Scripture to be aware of false prophets, not to put the word of man (or woman) above that of Jesus, and to beware of legalistic teachers who mutilate Christ`s teachings. St. Paul also warns us not to put our confidence “in flesh.” That message is just as important today as it was for early Christians.

Ellen White is a false prophet.

Sincerely,

Maria1212

I agree. How do SDA justify following Ellen White instead of the Bible?

How do SDA justify following Ellen White instead of the Bible?
We don’t do that. Ellen White, herself, in her last public address held up a copy of the Bible and said “Gentleme, I commend unto you this book.” In one of her writings she chews out the church stating that if they had studied the Bible like they were supposed to they wouldn’t have needed her writings.

Also, you might consider, if accused of belonging to a ‘religion of works’…where exactly is the shame in that? Especially if someone refuses to acknowledge your faith? Your faith is between you and your god, as I understand it, and the world of works is the world we all live in, whether it matters to anyone or not. If they say this world does not matter (I have been evangelized to, ranted at, made afraid of, and shunned by a few SDAs before, though I only meant to be friendly to them), well, such solipsism (for that it what it is, really, regardless of any possible deity or afterlife) is…well, their problem, and by your scriptures and your messiah’s example, a poor example of life and living.

Since SDA believe that all other Christians worship on the wrong day of the week, do they think the SDA is the only religion whose members will be saved?
who cares are you washed in the blood!🙂 Revelation 1:5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

I heard an old, old story,
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood’s atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
And won the victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about His healing,
Of His cleansing pow’r revealing.
How He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, “Dear Jesus,
Come and heal my broken spirit,”
And somehow Jesus came and bro’t
To me the victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory.
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
And the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I’ll sing up there
The song of victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.

SDA are NOT Christians simply because they ADD works to simple faith in Jesus Christ. According to the official Statement on Doctrine by the SDA, accepting Jesus as your personal Saviour is NOT sufficient to be saved.

SDA’s teach that the life a person lives must be taken into account, even after they have died. SDA’s believe exclusively in a doctrine called the “Investigative Judgment” where Christ enters into the Holy of Holies in Heaven to decide whether or not we are “worthy” to enter Heaven.

According to the Word of God, NO ONE is worthy of Heaven. We are all sinners deserving of Hell-fire and damnation.

But thank God the Father, He sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to pay for our sins with His blood.

Eternal life is a FREE GIFT (Romans 5:15; 6:23), paid for by the blood of Jesus (Colossians 1:14). Tragically, Seventh-Day Adventists ADD good works to salvation, which is a damnable heresy.
2 Tim 4:22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.

I’m sorry to hear that you felt shunned. We don’t use that word and they certainly aren’t taught to do that at church.

The rest of your quote above is right on target!
