Much of what is written here is speculation.
The only thing we know for sure is that marriage as such does not exist in heaven, but that we “will be like the angels”. That does not mean that we will relate to each other in the same way. Take, for example, the Blessed Mother Mary. Catholic teaching holds that she was assumed, body and soul, into heaven, unlike other saints and the rest of humanity. Finally, the Book of Revelation contains references to the martyrs and I think also virgins.
Or the teaching of the Council of Florence, which holds that the elect will enjoy the beatific vision, each in different degrees (Session 6 - 6 July 1439).
Now, what does this have to do with our relations with each other? On the surface, nothing, but since Catholic teaching holds that we obtain different rewards, there is hope that we will recognize our relations differently than the rest of humanity and remember those first who helped us obtain the crown of glory. (But this last part is one speculation among others.)
I hope so.
I pray so as well, asking this Lent that if I pass from this world before my beloved, then I will be one of those who holds her hand and leads her into paradise.
