I have been accused of being neurotic over cleaning. I now have to find a housekeeper since I cannot keep up due to an accident. I actually love to clean. A family member says I am too fussy. Any like minded out there. Make my day haha!

I don’t love cleaning, but I hate untidiness so much that I will clean to make things orderly. I don’t currently have housekeeping, but right after my last baby was born I very seriously thought about it because the chaos was just…too much. If we have another I’m going to strongly suggest it for those first few months.

In my case, I grew up in a hoarder house, so I suspect that plays a role in how much I dislike any clutter. I’m trying not to be too nutty for my kids, but I do try to teach them to pick up after themselves and that home is more pleasant for everybody if it’s reasonably neat.

I love cleaning. I don’t love having to stop when the trash bins are full.

I hate cleaning. However, I’ve learned how to embrace the mess.

Love to clean. And, do laundry!!! Hate that I never have enough time to do either and have to have someone come in to do it each week.

I have actually considered starting my own cleaning business. Somehow, I don’t think I would like cleaning up other peoples’ messes as much as my own, though!

I like cleaning because the end product looks good and there is the sense of task completion. Every few months I find some new cleaning tip or product to be excited about. (Microfiber!!! Woooooo)

But I have 4 kids under 6 and I rarely am able to complete a task before someone else needs something from me or is injured again. I try to not to love cleaning so that I don’t come to feel my children have robbed me of that satisfaction. Parenting them and loving them in this mess makes a better day for me most of the time.

I still fantasize about sending everyone but me on vacation and cleaning the house for 4 days.

Nope, don’t love cleaning. But I either have to do it or pay someone to, as living in filth isn’t an option. 😁

You sound like an adorable mom. You are doing such a great job!

I hate cleaning. I have a high tolerance for mess. I try to keep life simple so I don’t have to clean much. We have a small home that easily managed. My step-father was neurotic about cleaning and that sort of attitude makes me feel really uncomfortable. He was the sort that would steal the spoon you were using the stir the spaghetti sauce because he couldn’t stand to see it out. To this day, if you try to use my mom’s stove, it’s really hard to turn it on. Why? Because all the flipping markings on the dials have been rubbed off. He literally soaks and washes the stove dials every time the stove is used. What’s that you say? Surely they don’t use all of the cook tops for every meal they prepare? No. No, they don’t. But they all get washed anyway. Every time.

Cleaning is an art form that I have not mastered; nor do I aspire on mastering.

Since it’s your aspirations and peace of mind, I hope this time of recovery (body & mind) will recreate you to glorify God. Remember, we need to give and receive in a balance to Glorify God!

All the cleaning solutions smell so nice these days… and it is the cheapest workout around. Plus the result is so pleasing! But because I love doing I sometimes postpone it because I want to be in the mood for it.
Best house cleaners don’t care much for it imho. I wish I could get to that level.
