Is it just me?
No, masondoggy, it’s not just you…Is it just me?
I doubt masondoggy even meant his question the way you’re reading it. He’s just asking if anybody stumbles over the words while trying to speak it, not that he doesn’t believe it.What is it about the Creed that you don’t believe, masondoggy?
Are you saying you DON’T believe in God the Father?
Are you saying you DON’T believe that Jesus was born of a virgin or rose from the dead?
Are you saying that you DON’T believe in the Holy Spirit or the forgiveness of sins?
Please clarify.
Of course I believe every part of the creed. I’m talking about my words getting mumbled up during certain parts of the creed during Mass. I feel like a first grader missing my front teeth. What is it about the Creed that you don’t believe, masondoggy?

Don’t feel alone it happens to me too and I often find myself lapsing into the Apostles Creed if I am not careful.Of course I believe every part of the creed. My problem is if I try to think of what the next words will be I can’t remember them. If I just let myself go on autopilot I do fineIs it just me?
I suspect, like me ,he means he forgets the words!!!What is it about the Creed that you don’t believe, masondoggy?

Funny…I jumble that one up all the time. It’s like whenever we get almost to the point of saying it, my brain and my tongue disengage…Not by the Creed–but whenever I pray the prayer “…that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ…” during the Rosary or other prayers, I always get completely tongue-tied at the “that we may be made”![]()
I agree. I think i must have learned this trait from my father! My problem is if I try to think of what the next words will be I can’t remember them. If I just let myself go on autopilot I do fine
