No, masondoggy, it’s not just you…
I’ve been praying the Creed for some 52 years and every once in a while I get all jumbled up. Maybe it’s “old-timers” for me…I haven’t a clue. And often I find myself alternating btwn the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed.So…don’t feel alone. God knows we’re doing our best…

Not by the Creed–but whenever I pray the prayer “…that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ…” during the Rosary or other prayers, I always get completely tongue-tied at the “that we may be made”

What is it about the Creed that you don’t believe, masondoggy?
Are you saying you DON’T believe in God the Father?
Are you saying you DON’T believe that Jesus was born of a virgin or rose from the dead?
Are you saying that you DON’T believe in the Holy Spirit or the forgiveness of sins?

I doubt masondoggy even meant his question the way you’re reading it. He’s just asking if anybody stumbles over the words while trying to speak it, not that he doesn’t believe it.

I always get confused between the Apostles Creed that we pray with the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Nicene Creed that we pray as a profession of faith at Mass. For that reason, I ALWAYS us either a cheat sheet I typed up for Rosary time (which includes the Mysteries - another sticky point) or my Magnificat at Mass. If the Priest can/should/must read from the (book he reads from) then so can I

It does happen to me. Especially when I try to really think of what I am saying. It looks like my mouth tries to be faster than my brain (as usual) and problems occurs.

I do nearly every time…we have one priest who says it at a different cadence than evey other person I’ve heard and it always throws me off…find yourself slowing down then needing to speed up again.

My pastor, and some of the visiting priests, seem to always forget to say “men” when we get the part, “for us men and for our salvation…” 
I’ve gotten tongue tied before. It usually occurs when I focus on the voices around me all going at slightly different paces.
There is one man in my parish - a really good guy, BTW - who is always a second or two off beat. He has a loud voice too. One week he was so far off pace and so loud he got the priest tongue tied. It was pretty funny, really.

Of course I believe every part of the creed. I’m talking about my words getting mumbled up during certain parts of the creed during Mass. I feel like a first grader missing my front teeth.

I get a bit messed up between the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the Nicene Creed is said more in the US, and I am in Canada. I grew up on the Apostle’s Creed, at one point in my youth, we switched to the Nicene Creed for a few years, and so then I came to know that one. Now when I try to say the Nicene Creed, if I am not careful, I weave back and forth between the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed - they are similar in many ways.
I think the OP really means that when we have known a prayer our whole lives, we can sometimes get stuck for no apparent reason.
I find I stumble a bit on prayers that come in different variations - Hail, Holy Queen, the Angelis, and Glory Be. With the Hail Mary, some have done away with the thees and thous, and changed them to you and your. I have tried, and simply cannot say Hail Mary if I do away with the thees and thous!

My problem is if I try to think of what the next words will be I can’t remember them. If I just let myself go on autopilot I do fine

Funny…I jumble that one up all the time. Well, if I am trying to say it on my own, yes. If I say it with a group, like at Mass, no.

Tho’ I’ve seen priests use just the missal. (All the words are in the OCP missals, at least for the NO. He’s supposed to have the gestures memorized anyway, so it’s a non-issue.)
