I had to miss Mass this weekend because of the stomach flu, and even though it wasn’t my fault, I still feel really cruddy for missing. I always feel this way when I miss. I can’t wait until Sunday. 
I totally get what you’re saying even though I am pretty sure that the other parishioners would be grateful to you if they knew. Excellent example of Christian charity! Also, many areas have Mass on tv for these occasions. (When you are not preoccupied in the bathroom, of courseI had to miss Mass this weekend because of the stomach flu, and even though it wasn’t my fault, I still feel really cruddy for missing. I agree, 1.going to the Church,2.meeting Jesus in the Holy Tabernacle,3.Confessing with my Spiritual Director,and 4.Celebrating Mass has been the highlight of my week, especially numbers 1,2 and 4 and i can’t imagine missing Mass, thank God i haven’t been too sick to miss it, although i think one of my tonsils is inflamed and that is worrying me, please pray for me.But, Mass is the highlight of my week. Nothing can suffice!
I am praying for you!
