Men wearing open shirts on a bare chest bother me as well.
Please understand where I’m coming from: before my conversion I used to dress like a prostitute and act worse. Since I converted, dressing modestly in general and reverently when going to Mass is very important to me.
I am a married woman and my body belongs to my husband and is not for other people to see, especially in the house of the Lord.
I’m not saying that all women should do as I do, but I don’t wear tight clothes, see through, skirts must be at least under the knee, shirts come down almost mid-thigh and the sizes larger than my size, I wear at least 2 layers of shirts in the summer…
I’m a slender athletic woman but you can’t tell by the way I dress and I am pleased with that. My husband also appreciates me not being a source of temptation to other men. I try to keep up with liturgical colors as much as possible.
