Levitical dietary laws are no longer binding since Jesus fulfilled these laws. If you want to follow the dietary laws, that is a personal / private devotion, however it is not required by the Church.

Ceremonial laws such as sacrifices are also no longer binding.

Moral Law from Leviticus is still binding.

No, since St Peter had the revelation that ‘unclean foods’ were no longer unclean for us.
However I think I try to follow the intention and fulfillment of the law --eating in moderation, eating mindfully, trying to avoid ‘junk’, etc.

Nope. The only dietary law I follow is that which keeps me healthy (I’m allergic to certain foodstuffs) and that which the Church requires me to follow on certain days of the year set aside for abstinence.

I wouldn’t recommend going any further than that as a matter of course since I don’t think we gain anything extra from following pre-New Testament dietary laws.

Off the subject entirely: I note you come from Mdina in Malta. I went there, 15 years ago. It’s a wonderful place, as is the local church in the middle of Mdina, which is awe-inspiring! 🙂

Kind of. I try to avoid pig. Also I do not eat ostrick, vulture, camel, etc.!

Not since we have been allowed to eat pepperoni pizza! 😃

Of course considering my weight I can say that I do not follow any dietary law at all. :o
Same goes for me on both counts! 😛

Sorry, I just can’t imagine life without the occasional bacon cheese burger! 😉

Most of my family does, and we’re actually rather strict about it.

Haha 🙂 I think pork (minus bacon) is easy to give up because there are decent substitutes. Not so for bacon though, although it’s better than fake prawns 😛

Well, the only kind of hot dogs I eat are Hebrew National . . . .

I do to a certain extent. I try and limit pork and pig meats, and rarely eat dairy/meat together. I also try to go for a small period after eating one type of food before eating another, generally a period of 2 hours if I can.
