Gruyere and Roquefort.
Sardo and /or Provolone melted with spices.
Brie with berries and nuts…
But I like all cheese in general.

I think cheese is just about my favorite food - top three anyway. I, too, love Cheddar and eat it a lot - macaroni and cheese, omelettes, w/ Wasa crackers and a green apple, with popcorn and a green apple (green apples go really well with cheddar). Tillamook brand - is that national, probably just PNW - fantastic. Also love scalloped potatoes - little onion, potatoes, cheddar, milk, butter - baked. (throw in a teaspoon of beer or a little blue or goat cheese if you really want to improve the flavor; don’t do both)

2nd would be parmesan, which I buy all the time for pasta. Just love it sliced. Provolone for sandwiches. (or Havarti) Fresh mozzarella - the little balls in brine. Feta, goat cheese. Swiss. Cannot live without them.

Probably enough for now. Trying to decide if I should call in a pizza for dinner (yes, cheese) or make mac and cheese - 1/2 c grated parmesan, butter, spaghetti, black pepper, salt. Tons of butter, couple tablespoons. I made this up, then saw it on Martha Stewart bakes. We make the same dish - how cool is that. (shortcut fettucine alfredo)
Thanks for the recipes (I’ve tried making macaroni and cheese at home from scratch and somehow it never turns out right, so I look forward to trying yours. Perhaps a cookbook is in order?) ! When I was an exchange student in France I discovered ‘gratin dauphinois’ which is basically scalloped potato casserole - definitely an all time fave.

I like all cheese, the sharper the better. Also like Aseogo(sp) a lot when I can find it. I get most of my cheeses from Walmart. On homemade bread with real butter. My mother used to make both. Peace.
When I think of Asiago I think of living in St. Louis; at the time there was a local chain there called the St. Louis Bread Company and perhaps because Asiago was all the rage then they were always promoting their asiago loaf. It was pretty tasty.

I’m pretty sure it’s processed cheese-like product
I would actually rather not know

Any fans of Havarti here? Or Fontina? I see those a lot in the supermarket.

Trader Joes, if you have one in the area, typically carries a wide variety of a lot of different cheeses.these provide a good way of sampling different cheese types. Gives you an indication about what you like and don’t like in a cheese.

P.s. send any you don’t want to me. I’ll properly dispose of them. Yum.

No one has said Cheese Whiz yet?
Might as well mention Velveeta too.
I can’t think of Velveeta without thinking of my grandparents, since I never saw it except at their house in Hyattsville, Maryland.

I’ll agree with you here 🙂 It’s pretty versatile too and my kids used to really like it ,also
fresh goats milk yogurt …yum

I like Cheese Whiz on celery sticks. Cottage cheese is also good on celery sticks.

Fontina is delicious! It melts beautifully.

I love extra sharp cheddar for eating with crackers and for cheese sauce.

I too like those soft cheeses in the container with herbs and garlic.

My daughter: " I wouldn’t want to live in a world without cheese."

I work part-time in a winery and we sell cheeses that are made here in New Mexico. I love their asiago and their Monterey Jack with roasted green chile and garlic. They used to carry a chipotle cheddar and one called queso del Patron (which literally means, “the boss’s cheese”) and it was made with Patron tequila! We weren’t allowed to sample it to kids and you could almost get a buzz just from the smell when you opened the package, but it made awesome quesadillas!
