I don’t have a particular spot I would call a shrine, but I very much enjoy three objects within easy view of my favorite chair. A small statue of St. Francis, a similar sized Benedictine monk, and a six inch Celtic Cross. I’ve seen this sort of thing way overdone for my taste, but each of us has different needs. My three little reminders, along with a much larger cross in my office at work, are sufficient for me. I’m sure whatever you wind up creating, it will be perfect for you. 🙂

I like the idea of simple. Right now I’m thinking a Crucifix, the Divind Mercy image, a candle and a statue. I haven’t decided which statue yet. Probably St. Jude or St. Anthony.

Me too. I was going to get rid of my bed and get a small matress so there would be some room and I would just stay there while I do my prayers.

@Casilda awesome!,icons very inspiring to pray.if you don’t mind, may i ask what’s the silver, wood or metal long box with the crosses? are they any saints relics?

I think we all should have a prayer corner or space for a quiet place for personal and family prayers it really sets the mood to pray.thanks for posting.

Mate, great collection. 🌷 Hope you don’t burn any candles though, this gave me a sweat—so many things that could like up! 😨

We have a prayer room in our house about seven by twelve feet. It is carpeted, quite comfortable with two sofas and a simple shelf for some books. On the wall is a crucifix and small table for candles.

Both myself and my wife would use this room for personal prayers, quiet time we call it.

Sometimes I have people who come to my house for ministry session. At times a few of my church group members may adjourne into the prayer room and we would have undisturbed worship, Bible sharing and exercises of gifts of the Spirit.

wonderful! children would be inspired to be saints, great collection,👍

I love that terrible towel hanging out next to the prayer wall! XD

It’s a metal votive holder. There are 10 glass votives, though the empty ones hold prayer notes.

I don’t think ordinary folks should keep saint relics. It’s best for holy priests, monks and nuns to keep them safe. I have heard of them showing up in thrift stores. 😦

I do, too.

One area of our master bedroom, and then another of our living room, too.

I have religious pictures on our living room and dining room walls, and on our bedroom walls, too.

I like being able to look at them, wherever I am. 🙂

I have a nice shelving nook that was made from an old window opening when I had some remodeling done and the porch closed in. It looks pretty good but I can’t post a photo because there are a couple wine bottles on the shelf. No, I don’t drink but have had them for years. I guess they are well aged by now. When someone gives me a gift I tend to display the gift so they won’t get their feelings hurt.
