Do you know people who always want to get "the last word"?

The LIturgy we will always have with us.

DOn’t worry about it. You have 2 weeks. I met with FAther this morning to go over the entirety of HOly Week.
🙂 It will all work out, especially if Father doesn’t come up with any more ideas to upset our parishioners even more. I suspect the steady exodus of parishioners will increase after First Holy Communion.

Oh that is discouraging. I’m so sorry.

Any hope for the future?

There is always hope. It might be a bit turbulent and emotional at times but the Holy Spirit inspired the Bishop to put Father here, so somehow all will be well in God’s time. It is also hard for Father as our parish has a track record of giving all priests a very hard time and that is something that has to stop because the Church belongs to Jesus not the self-elected few. As for me, sanctification is good for the soul - I just wish I didn’t need so much

I saiiiiiiid last word!

Why is everyone ignoring my territorial approach to this thread?

Just re-affirming my marking of this territory (shame it won’t last).

I knew it wouldn’t be long. Am still relieved that my resignation from all ministries at my parish church went well. Only one ministry lead couldn’t work it out - she doesn’t understand that we can’t run a First Holy Communion Prep for absent or invisible children. But she did understand that I had to go to where I believed I was needed. I am shifting to our other parish church where 99-100% of First Holy Communion candidates attend mass.

I hope that all goes very well for you Avila. That’s very precious instruction you are giving ,God bless you.
I found my little first holy communion paten the other day going through letters etc,and prayed for the little nun who taught us .
