Do you know people who always want to get "the last word"?

Miss it too. All sorts happening. Our new priest has shaken things up and is still doing so. Next time I pray for our parish to be shaken up and to come alive, I must remember to add “except me”. 😀
🤣 Oh dear…

That’s funnnny!!¥€¢£…
Yes lord change and shake up everyone Except Me!!!

I know. It was genuinely heartfelt prayer but I forgot that being shaken up can be very uncomfortable and when we pray for our community, it will includes us. 🤣

I know what you mean. I keep praying that the people around me will learn humility and patience and be harder workers… not me, though, of course. 😳

Of course not, you just humbly want them to catch up with you 😇

Nah, I’m all right with them surpassing me. I just think I could enjoy my complacency more if other people around me were nicer.

🤣 😂 🤣 😂 🤣

It’s so difficult not to come back to this thread and say Yes! Hmm, should really give it up for Lent 🤔

I thought about giving up the evening news, but it’s so depressing and sometimes angering that it’s probably a good thing for me to keep watching it…

… and this thread. I’m gonna keep watching this thread as well. 👀

Just saying…

Looks like I am taking things up for Lent. Our new parish priest (many gifts but not planning or communication) has suddenly disrupted our First Holy Communion Preparation program. Why, oh why, did he not give me the news weeks ago, why did he email me when my computer server was down, my parent liaison is away, one of our helpers (also in the parish) is in a crises (and has seemingly vanished without a word) and just as I am beginning a Life in Christ pilot? Not that Father knows about the latter and the vanished helper didn’t have the courtesy to say anything so that other parishioners could provide cover.

Now that wail is over, plans B and C for the Preparation have sprung to mind, alternative plans are in place in the parish, it is bedtime here in the UK and I am going to give it all up to God to sort out. 🙂 Goodnight all and may God bless you.

The last word for catholics seems to be “we have the Real Presence”

It’s raining! 🤩 Autumn begins officially on the first of March …
🤨

Sorry, kiddo, but you have to wait until the wee hours of March 21 for the official beginning of autumn.

Our spring equinox is March 21… still four weeks away…

Grr, and I was so excited …
It’s like 32c now and I’m sweating,sigh you’re right.
Sometimes we don’t get the big rains that bring green grass until April and even later.
In the good old days the farmers used to bank on St Patrick’s day for the Autumn break as the rains are called.

Wrapped up extra warm because it looks like we are in for a cold spell on this side of the pond 🐸

What is “cold” for all y’all?

We’ve haven’t been above freezing since last Sunday. ⛄
