Do you know people who always want to get "the last word"?

What is “cold” for all y’all?

We’ve haven’t been above freezing since last Sunday. ⛄
Where I live below zero is cold. Snow is something we don’t cope with very well. Buses are cancelled and those of us within a couple of miles from work have a long walk into work. Coming home is worst as the side roads and none of the pavements are gritted. We get sheltered a lot by the sea, hills and a couple of Islands.

It’s cold this morning at 56F I want Summer back 😭
Will be warming up later in the week.
Top of 70F today though.

I don’t know what the temperature was this morning but the wind was bitterly cold. I wore my gloves through most of the mass as my hands were like blocks of ice. Hope it doesn’t snow? One inch of snow and the city is in chaos.

My son and I spent a couple hours outside Saturday afternoon – temps only just above freezing and a brisk wind. When we got home, I couldn’t warm up for several hours!

My brother and I used to go out fishing and come home cold…hot tomato soup went down like a treat.Until one afternoon a bee in my soup stung my tounge. It had fallen down the chimney into the pot at my parents home.

You must have been soo cold Gertie!

It has been bitterly cold with gale force winds which swept the snow into the sea. The wind has dies down a bit so we have at least two inches of snow. It is going to be another long walk to and from work tomorrow. I am not experienced enough to drive on roads that will know be covered in solid ice, so walking is safer.

Not trying to get the last word, just sharing the weather. 😏

We are in a part of the country where all storms will be avoiding for awhile. So while the east and west coasts of the US get hammered with snow and floods, we are dry and experiencing near-record heat.

It’s bad news for our plants. We haven’t had apples on our trees the past two years – unseasonably warm and dry March causes the trees to blossom way too early. Then the cold and snows return in April, and all the blossoms die. No apples…

I keep praying for the cold and snow to continue, but I think God’s answer this year is “no.” 🙁

It’s just plain old windy here. Our parking lot currently has a slight case of a 🌲 in the entrance.

Windy here too DL ,and a hot tiring day.The chopping and changing weather makes me tired .

At last the rain is melting the snow and ice. Yesterday I stepped on black ice and fell over, it is a miracle that I wasn’t hurt and my MP3 player and mobile were not broken. The sight of the few who slide, slithered and fell on black ice to get to work, melted the heart of the top boss who ordered all non-essential staff home just after 9am. Of course, once we were gone, the essential staff became non-essential. The essential folks had laptops at home, so essential work continued.

My goodness, I hate the black ice.

We have daytime temps above freezing for the next seven days. That’ll be enjoyable… until we turn our clocks forward and lose an hour of sleep next weekend. 😭

Hmm, daylight savings changes on the first of April for me here…the days are growing shorter for sure.

Oops, my bad. 😊

We change our clocks on Palm Sunday this year. I don’t know how I got that all mixed up in my tiny little brain, but there you have it.

No problemo 😃
Seeing I have two runs of March 3rd. I am now partaking of more coffee…might as well celebrate while I can, tomorrow will be another story.

Your tomorrow? Or my tomorrow? 🤔

I’m enjoying a quiet Saturday evening, thinking about supper. 😄

Just been to Sunday mass, time for lunch.
Monday will be back to hard slog.

I have two music programs this week – 5th grade and then 4th grade.

My 5th graders are a mess right now, God bless them. They’re afraid of their own shadows when it comes to performing in front of others, whether that be their classmates or their families. It’s a bad year for them – we’ve such an influx of kids last year and this year with super high needs emotionally and behaviorally.

I end the week (well, Thursday) with the 4th grade program, and they’re a wonderful, delightful bunch. I’m glad to get 5th grade out of the way so I can let go of that stress and move on.

What a week this is going to be! 😱

Ohh, poor little kids  Sounds like a lot of juggling for you Gertie!I pray it all goes well!

I’m sure it will go well – it usually does, regardless of mishaps. This one could be full of mishaps, given the attitudes of these little darlings.

At my son’s school performances, everyone showed up, always. At my school’s performances, you just never know how many kids will be there.

If all the 5th graders show up, it would be about 40 kids. I honestly expect to have maybe 20. But at least they’ll be the ones who actually want to be there.
