Just wondering what everyone was planning to do on Thanksgiving Day. I realize that it is not a holy day of obligation, but still, many of us still like to go.
I live by myself, no family nearby. I intend to go to a morning mass, even though as an RCIA Candidate I cannot partake of the communion. In the afternoon I will have dinner at the local Alano Club. In the evening I will spoil the cats.Just wondering what everyone was planning to do on Thanksgiving Day. I realize that it is not a holy day of obligation, but still, many of us still like to go.
Wow. That sounds awesome! We will have a big mass with three priests, three deacons and three choirs [English, Spanish and Vietnamese]. It is one of our major events. Mass will be in English, but readings and Intercessions will be idistributed to include all three languages.
600-700 will attend.
The Vietnamese will supply several hundred loaves of French Bread from their bakery to be blessed and distributed to all; so that we all will have a blessed food for our table at home.
