We pray the Angelus just before noon Mass at the parish near my workplace.
This also reminded me of an experience I had in Korea.
I was on a business trip to Seoul last fall. Since I was flying home on Sunday morning, I went to the 6:00pm Vigil Mass as the Cathedral in downtown Seoul.
I arrived early (5:30pm ish) and found the Cathedral 2/3’s full. They were reading back and forth. I noticed everyone had a large red book and realized they were doing Vespers\Evening Office.
At the end, the leading priest gave the Vesper’s Blessing and went back to vest.
At that time, the Cathedral bells tolled 6:00pm and everyone stood up. It took me a bit, but I soon realized they were doing the Angelus!
Then Mass started.
What faith those people had. Imagine doing such a thing here in the US before each Saturday evening Mass.
