God gives us Christians the responsibility of saying what needs to be said to get these people to thinking about (caring about) their eternal destiny. That is why I don’t like it when some posters seem to want to dismiss the whole thing as if we are judging by even questioning/wondering about such a thing…

What I see your words saying is that you feel a responsibility to get people to listen and care about eternal life. 1) Which people? All the readers of this thread who don’t even fit the bill of being a pro-abortionist? 2) And your approach in getting them to listen to you is to inform them they are demon-possessed? 3) Then in denial of your motives, you say you are NOT judging them?

Distracted, you are not being honest with yourself whatsoever, and hiding the true intention of your post. You want all of us to agree with you and say they ARE demon-possessed and condemn them right along with you. What practical advice did you offer a single reader of this thread other than a judgmental statement that applies to practically nobody who read it. Even if we happened to know someone in that position, do you honestly believe it would enter our minds to tell them they are possessed?!! :rolleyes:

I am not ‘jumping’ on you in particular, Distracted. Rather this is a general comment re what you say above.

In some threads and this one included it seems to me that some people conclude that most do not care about nor think about their eternal destiny and I wonder how such a conclusion may be arrived at…no more accurately I fear than those who might conclude that all actually do think seriously about and care very much about their eternal destiny. In other words, there is a polarity of kind. These two polarities are both ‘emporers’ in the emporer’s robes… hca.gilead.org.il/emperor.html

As to judging and concern for the eternal destiny of others. It is The Lord and His Gospel which tells us to not judge, else we are going to incur judgement. And if we think we can do any real and lasting good…produce any good fruit pleasing to The Lord who cursed and withered what seems to have been a perfectly good fig tree and there are important lessons in pondering the story drbo.org/cgi-bin/d?b=drb&bk=47&ch=21&l=19&f=s#x
…and do read it beginning and ending with a little prayer to the Holy Spirit, reading slowly and reflectively - the whole Chapter, which is not at all lengthy.

…anyway if we think we can accomplish anything lasting, real and pleasing to God, outside The Lord AND adhereing to His Gospel totally faithfully in all things, great and most minute, by human reasonings and understandings no matter how impressive, grand and stunning - convincing…we are very much mistaken absolutely, completely and totally fooled and deceived, destined for complete failure…and perhaps even a very real shock and grave awakening …somewhere, sometime…

Sort of…yeah. I know a few intense radicals at work who seem possessed when they argue with opponents. They totally lose it, turning red, panting, with bulging eyeballs and sweat building up on the brow. It’s fascinating to watch. I can’t believe how worked up they get. It’s a sign of immaturity, bad judgment, mild insanity, or demonic possession.😃

Interesting. I’ve noticed this as well. It’s an entirely different emotion all together…not really anger, rage or disagreement.

And you might have done nothing more than bring up the “A” word. They still go raving crazy.

…as interestingly do many of those opposed to abortion … this tells me something about both camps and about fanaticism and far more about the latter than either grouping and their particular case either for or against abortion …

Whoa, distracted - that is a serious presumption on your part.

I think you need to step back and look at what Joysong is trying to say to you, and see how what she is saying would be helpful if you could quit looking at it as a personal attack.
 
They’re definitely under the influence of evil, and evil comes from the devil.

What can be the devastating outcome when the person receives these transmitted thoughts of condemnation and hell-fire? I guarantee it will NOT be conversion and amendment of life. They become even more fixated in their sin when we send forth negative, unholy thoughts … and don’t believe for a minute that these thoughts are not transmitted to others. The person may become bound by them, unable to receive the mercy and love of God which we should be transmitting in their stead.

OP, I have seen many of your posts in other sections of the forum that are so filled with condemnation that I can’t believe your many rosaries are heard, for this is not the heart and mind of God, who sent His Son, “not to condemn the world, but to save it.” And the timing of your thread just days before His holy Incarnation is totally imprudent and out of touch with the advent message - Come, Lord Jesus! In charity, I ask you to pray about this very seriously.
