Do you use any nicknames for your pet animals?

I call Apricot “Apricotlet” or “Itty Bitty.” She loves Itty Bitty best and she’s definitely NOT itty bitty.

These are fun to read!

We have a Lhasa Apso named Molly who gets called Moo Moo. We also have a Parson Russell terrier named Eddie who gets called Edward (when he’s naughty) and The Edster.

I like “Moo Moo.” ❤️ 😀

That’s so cute! Lhasas are so cute anyway, that I could just picture this. 😁

I tell my kitty to, “Hold on to her fur,” when she’s following me around our place when she wants to eat after I just wake up and I’m trying to get myself together.

She’ll be meowing non-stop at me, until I take care of feeding her.

It’s like she thinks that I’m going to forget, or something. 😉

So I’ll lovingly tell her, “Come on “fur bag,” let’s go feed you!”

So that’s another one of my little nicknames for her: “My little fur bag.” 😁 ❤️

That is so cute☺ .

My 2 cats meow and meow for food too, or stare at food bowl when they want dinner.

Then I open a can, they take 1 bite and walk away. 🐱🐱

We keep a bowl of hard food out so I guess the bite is dessert.

Staring at the food bowl is common. They sure let you know what they want, don’t they?

One of the Newbies got two new nicknames this morning. Mama said he’d been running wild through the house like a little party animal all night. So she calls him “Party Animal” and I call him “Wild Man.”

Our dog Justice is sometimes called, “Justy.” But more commonly she gets the third person reference or address of, “The Puppy.”

Our turtle Bubbles sometimes gets called “(the) Bubbaloop.”

Our late cat Mithril was more commonly referred to as, “the Mean Cat.”

Other pets have had nicknames that were just shortened forms of their given name. The three I mentioned somehow earned third person nicknames.

Yeah, I have a nickname that I like to call them. I call them “dear ones”. I’ll be like “Hello, dear ones. How you doin’?”. 🙂

Thank you. They respond to it, too. I guess they like being called dear ones. I use it for all my animals; I have six cats and two dogs.

That’s great!

Sometimes I wish that we could have a couple of kitties, but where we live we’re not able to do that.

We’re only allowed to have two cats at one time.

We have our one old kitty right now. She wouldn’t do well with another cat. She’s 20 years old, and she’s rather feisty at times. 🙂

I call every cat I see precious. When I first met the kitty who would officially become a member of our family after our Tabitha passed away, I called her precious too. She responded to it. So “Precious” became her name. (Precious Mary O’ Mischief.) I’m glad Tabby got to know her. She approved.
