KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - Malaysian authorities on Wednesday arrested 58 followers of a bizarre cult built around a giant teapot, two days after the sect’s headquarters was torched.

Of course there’s a cult of the Teapot!!! Started in Boston and now common in most Brit homes. The teapot is worshipped in most british homes first thing each morning and often when the family return from a hard days work. The cult has strange rituals involving such deviant practices as first warming the teapot with boiling water, or, adding milk before tea to the cup.

Such practices should be stamped out in favour of coffee, a much more sensible practice involving nothing more sinister than a jar, a cup and hot water. Much more sensible.

Yep, they are real. Claim to be a part of Buddhism but they are a bit ‘out on a limb’ with mainstream Buddhism as regards Philosophy. The teapot is a serious symbol of what they believe. Is connected in some way with the Japanese Tea Ceremony but I forget just how.

Or again, there is stuff on their website that may be is sort of Post Modern irony…!?? If Irony then these guys have balls because they are operating in possibly the most traditional, fundamentalist Islamic state in Malaysia - Shariah law and all. Apostates can be sentenced to be stoned to death there.
