I don’t think anyone has mentioned that Tom Baker played Puddleglum in the BBC production of C.S.Lewis’ The Silver Chair. He was hilarious as a tipsy Marshwiggle.
He was also Koura in ā€œThe Golden Voyage of Sinbadā€ . . .

Been watching since the Pertwee years. My favorites Doctors probably are still Pertwee and Tom Baker. I met Tom Baker at a fan convention in 1984. My favorite companions are Sarah Jane (R.I.P. Liz Sladen) and Rose. Favorite villain is a tougher question – I suppose the Master (old-school version).

Was that Rasputin role a prominent one in the film or more of a supporting character? (By the way I just did an image search on Colin Baker and discovered he’s nearly 70 and unsurprisingly, looks it.)

Seventh Doctor Sylvester McCoy will be appearing as Radagast in the new Hobbit movies.

Here’s an interview with Sylvester about his part (Warning: Zero real information and extreme cheekiness!) 😃

Sweet! I’m so excited about The Hobbit and the seventh Doctor is a favorite!!!

Pertwee was my first. I do love the sixth Doctor (laugh all you want!!!). Troughton is a fave. Love Eccleston… It’s like having a favorite child; you just don’t!!!

Don’t get me started on my favorite companions: Barbara, Jamie, Liz, Sarah Jane, both Romanas, Ace, Donna…

I just got turned on to this show and have been catching up on Netflix. I just finished Season 3 of the reboot and I’m loving it.

Doctor Who Series 7 starts tomorrow on BBC America. In lead-up to this series, five one-minute mini-episodes have been produced explaining what’s been going on with the Ponds between the last series and this one. They are free and legal to watch on BBC’s Youtube channel:

Almost through Season 4 and about to lose David Tennantā€¦šŸ˜¦

I have to admit, there’s an advantage to seeing the show this way, no annoying waiting between episodes.

Well, back in MY day, you had to WAIT all week for each episode, and then you had to wait and wait and wait for the next series, which is natural and only right. I don’t know, people these days think they can just watch things whenever they feel like it! šŸ˜›

Just in case it doesn’t show, I’m totally kidding - the latest episode is going to be available here a week early (going up just after it airs in the UK apparently) and you bet I’ll be watching on my computer screen. Then I can enjoy it again on the TV next weekend. 😃

For me there is only one Doctor, Tom Baker. Jelly Babies for all!

For those of you who watched tonight – what did you think?
