Zundrah, most modern English dictionaries do not do a very good job on theological terms. Words that have been adopted for theological use from the Greek, Hebrew, Latin, or German do not have the same meaning when used theologically as they may in regular parlance.Try asking a dictionary!

In addition to that, most modern English dictionaries emanate from Protestant sources, and sometimes specific Catholic information and meaning are omitted.
People come here to this website to get “Catholic” answers. Most people find it hard to locate a “catholic” dictionary.
