Does all knowledge come from God?

It appears that you don’t understand what I wrote. What you state above is not even close to any conclusion I would reach based on my post.
  1. “reduced to a reprogramming of our minds” - non sequitur, nothing in my post states, nor implies this.
2.“nothing that we know is real” - Solipism is an unwarranted philosophy and will preclude productive discussion.

What in my post is not clear?
I completely understood what you wrote. Do you believe that God grants knowledge when it is needed? If yes, that means that we didn’t acquire the knowledge hence the knowledge is injected inside our minds, in another word your mind is reprogrammed. So if it is so how we could justify the trueness of what we receive since we receive the knowledge unconditionally. Why we should be rewarded for what do we feel and know!?

I don’t know what you mean by “grants knowledge when it is needed”, So cannot answer.

Whether God injects us with it, or we gain it by accidemic study, we “acquire” knowledge. Is this a distinction without a difference?

What is the implication of a “reprogrammed mind”?

I don’t know why. Who implied that we should?

We fool ourselves with earthly science, attributing knowledge to our innate wit. The notion that humans can learn anything on their own is absurd if God is to be taken at face value. Earthly science is a scam.

What do philosophers have to say about this?

Well, I like to hear one specific instance where earthly science is a scam.

You see, you have a beef with earthly science, but you must present enough instances to show how earthly science is a scam; then we can see the merit of your contention that earthly science is a scam.

I’d like to hear that too. Revelation is far more likely to be a scam, since no empirical evidence is needed…the knowledge just comes to someone…like magic.

If the knowledge is really coming from God, then earthly ‘science’ is an illusion.

If I were a believer, I would simply use the same principle for reconciling things that believers do “when bad things happen”
God permits it.

You have to somehow, someway give God credit for all things. Good and bad.
In order to do that you have to downplay the bad things by making it sound as if they are deserved or unavoidable or interfere with the concept of free will.

IF the matter is neutral or good, you can not cope or appear consistant without crediting God by calling it an illusion much like Paul who mocked men of knowledge stating that faith was superior.

Glad I don’t have to struggle with the inconsistancy

If science is an scam and everything is given by God then we have no intellect to achieve anything hence we are not worthy. What type of creation is this? How you could justify anything then?

By the way following your way of thinking, one can conclude that impression, feeling, etc are also given by God hence we are perfect Zombie. How could you justify your feeling to God?

Without the Spirit of God, we’re flesh and bone, and nothing more. **All human experience comes from God. **

So you seriously believe that we are philosophical zombies. What is the God purpose for creating zombies?

Re: science - scam or not?

Science provides us with an operating manual of the world.
I used to fix and soup-up clunkers; to do that you need to know how the car is put together.
It was fun and pretty awesome doing and figuring out stuff.
I could have spent all my time in the garage; the manual would have meant the world to me.
But, there’s more to life.
It didn’t address the purpose of the car, nor did it teach the traffic rules.
It was pretty worthless, in explaining how to treat my wife, what she might be angry or happy about.
A manual is good to have, especially if you are an auto tech, but it is clearly limited in its scope.
Scence is like that.

According to Chabad, God wanted a dwelling place in the lower world. All of creation is nullified in relation to the Creator.

CAF stands for Catholic Answers Forum, not Chasidic Answers Forum. Try Googling the full title. 😉

There is a way to verify whether a specific instance of science is a scam, test it by experimentation and observation.

Now, with revelation and faith, there are as many revelations and faiths as there are human heads who are certain they have gotten a revelation and a faith or religion from God.

How do we determine which revelation and which faith come from God aside from some humans claiming on their words?

So where did other sort of system of thoughts that confer the idea of God come from? They couldn’t come from nowhere!

Yes, I’m aware of that. But doesn’t it seem strange that something that is already known needs to be learned? Why not just ask God in the first place? What is the purpose of such ‘science?’ Is it like some sort of an IQ test from God?

Is science really discovering this knowledge, or is it simply being revealed to us from God? I say the latter, with ‘science’ being an illusion.

What is the purpose of any sort of work?
Genesis chapter 3:
By the sweat of your face will you earn your food, until you return to the ground, as you were taken from it. For dust you are and to dust you shall return.’
Science is not a scam, it’s just another sort of work. Anybody who has spent time in a lab, programming, or building apparatus to conduct experiments knows better than to think of it as a scam.

As to why not just ask God, that could be said about just about any form of knowledge. Why open your eyes? Why not just ask God? Why listen? Why not just ask God? Why touch something? Why not just ask God? Why calculate something? Why not just ask God? Why open a book? Why not just ask God? Why turn on your computer? Why not just ask God? Why talk to your friends, family, neighbors, etc.? Why not just ask God? And so on ad infinitum . . .

Present day science is more systematized than knowledge gathering in the past was. To give just one example, modern day metallurgists know better than to add horse manure to the ores they intend to reduce, but that wasn’t always the case. How did they find out better? By experimenting and recording the results. In other words, they worked at it.

Knowledge does tend to grow over time, but it isn’t as if it’s invulnerable. Presumably, the ancient library of Alexandria contained a lot of knowledge painstakingly gathered over time, but most of its contents were lost when it was burned. The same would probably happen to our collective knowledge in the event of nuclear war. ‘. . . to dust you shall return.’

You want it, you work for it.

Are you saying that humans can know things that do not come from God? The reason God knows all our thoughts is because He placed them within our minds.
