I am trying my best to follow the events surrounding the talks between Rome and the SSPX, but I am busy and haven’t had a lot of time lately. So, does anyone have any info about the talks?? I am really hoping they reconcile, SSPX members have a deep love for the Eucharist and I feel that it is a good thing to welcome them back into the Church! Thanks in advance guys!

I apologize in advance for my ignorance but what is SSPX?

Society of St. Pius X

They are a group of traditional Catholics who use only the 1962 Missal (Traditional Latin Mass)

They are in an irregular status with the Church following 4 unauthorized Episcopal consecrations in 1988.

Pope Benedict seems to be making their reconcilliation with the Holy See a priority.
