What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? A lot of hte food you buy at all stores come from other countries.

I used to work there, hated it. I do shop there still though, and am all for NAFTA.

i have and still will shop at krogers. they have better meat than most of the other chain supermarkets, and i dont have a good local butcher. plus i can only kill som much meat.

that said i think the meat is probably from a company/farm with holdings in all three countries, and all the products get the same label. while the idea of a NAU scares me i dont think this is evidence of it.

I selected ā€œa little weirdā€, but being meat, i also wanted it :D.

Yes, I shop at Kroger, but I did not answer the poll because I do none of the answers match the question.

What was the question that you meant to ask?

I want it (and the rest of my Christmas groceries). Can you help me out to my car 😃 ?

Troll? or Ron Paul in disguise?
I resent that comment. Keep comments like this in the politics section please. The topic is about Kroger and meat. But since you brought up RP, I respect the man’s integrity and honesty with the American people.

I think it is just corporate laziness. They probably buy meat from all three countries and by using that sticker they cover their assets without having to actually be aware of which country it is.

Never attribute anything to international conspiracy when it can be attributed to corporate laziness.

I think you are right. Instead of having a sticker that says from the U.S. and another that says from Canada. They just have one sticker that lets you know their product comes from one of these three places. They do that on a lot of ingredients lists, ā€œcould contain one or more of the followingā€. Does that mean they don’t know what it contains, possibly:rolleyes: but it might just be easier to have one label for all and let you know to watch out for these ingredients.
Don’t make it into more than it is…

I shop at Kroger A LOT … 2 of them are within 1 mile from my house. At both, their meat departments leaves a lot to be desired. Same with their bakery department.

For meat & bakery items, I prefer any grocery store over Kroger. Since you prefer Kroger meat, perhaps quality & selection vary from store to store.

Our Kroger has great meat but the bakery drinks deeply from the fountain of suck.

Light Seeker, looking at your sig I think that was St. Anselm not St. Augustine.

I think you are misunderstanding. What I meant by ā€œi want itā€ is "I want Mexico, Canada and the U.S. to merge.

This really has nothing to do with meat.

I agree completely. Do we really need to don our tinfoil hats over a vague label on meat?

OP, if you really think this is a sign of a conspiracy, why not write to Kroger and let them know how much it bothers you? 🤷 I am afraid you are not going to find much sympathy here.
