Anyone want to join/start a “Maso Thinks I’m a Savage!” club? 😛

I have a Celtic Cross on my left forearm. Inside it is a lion, for the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. I got it before I was Catholic, but now for me it represents my baptism - this too is a mark I’ll never be able to take off.

If I can I’ll post a picture later.

This is precisely what I was looking for. Thanks for posting your tattoos (or depictions thereof). I read about all this great body art yet can’t see any of it. Anyone else care to post theirs? I have an ulterior motive - I’m looking for ideas for myself, hoping something I see will give me some inspiration. Thanks.
I’m not going to post mine only because it is custom work and no one else has anything like it. (Although, the tattoo artist did post it on his online portfolio. 😛 )

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my piece and plan on getting another one here soon (the car needs to be fixed first, priorities! :o ). I show off my piece when I can, but I want to keep my identity offline from the boards.

I never thought I would be the sort of person to get a tat. Not for religious reasons, but growing up I was really snobby and saw it as chavvy (don’t know if this means anything to non-British readers, think the closest would be ill-educated/trashy). FWIW, I think that a lot of people around in churches do have this kind of objection, i.e. they see tattoos as ‘lower-class’ and ear piercings etc. as acceptable not because they have read and formed a balanced, nuanced judgement on the scriptures, but just because of their own cultural sensibilities which they may or may not then try to justify on religious grounds.

After all that, once I got over being such an arrogant and judgemental teenager, I got a tattoo 2 years ago and I love it! It’s ‘you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your body and all your might’ in Hebrew. DH has the matching ‘you shall love your neighbour as yourself’. I really want another one but there are so many Bible verses I would love to have, I can’t decide between them!
hear! hear! 👍

I had biases against tattooed folks. Ironically enough, I was thinking of getting a branding a few years ago!

Last year it came to me what I would get as a tattoo. I have my whole back planned out and when I got my first one, I admit, I was hooked. 😉 That link I posted earlier on religious tattoos helped tipped the balance.

I tell ya, though, I got all the awful comments from my own mother! And I’m a 40 year old woman! 🤷 I love mine piece and I want more! 😃

Tatoos… Oh NO…!!!

I don’t want any grafitti on my house… so why would I want any on my body…???

And kinky body piercings…? Hell NO…! I don’t want any holes in me that I wasn’t born with.

Consider, a little Anthropology lesson here…

You know… all of the Paliolythic tribal people of the world ( 'Nuther words… all of the world’s “Savages” ) had certain things in common. Tatoos and body piercings. You see… the Savages in Borneo had no contact with the savages of the Inca tribes of South America or the Watussi tribes of Africa. And The savages in the Polynesian Islands knew nothing about the savages in some other place like South Dakota in the time of their tenuous existance and yet that all had certain things in common… Tatoos and kinky body piercings. Do this… take a good look at a picture of Dennis Rodman and then look at a picture of a specimen of a paleolythic tribal person in any Anthropology text book… You’ll get the picture.

Christ told his deciples that we would know that the end times are near when things will be like it was “…in the times of Noah.” The times of Noah means in times of the paliolythic tribes, or in the days before there was any “civilization”.

Your Tatoos and kinky body piercings are a sign of the times… any YOU can’t see it.

Open your eyes.!!! 👍
Gimme a break. I think you’re writing satire? It seems you must be kidding since what you write is so ridiculous. Why are you here? Go find a thread you enjoy and participate in that. That’s how this blog works. Find what you like, avoid what you don’t.

A few hundred years from now they’ll look back on our civilization (assuming Jesus hasn’t returned yet) and say, “man, what savages”. I look back at some of those civilizations, some of them North American Native, and see how backward we’ve gone (aside from their lack of Jesus).

Well, I think I need to post a pic of my tattoos. I got two, but plan to add more. The ones I have aren’t big–maybe each is about 2"x2" or so, the word “Lion” certainly a bit longer. Incidentally, it might be familiar to some as the word is part of “White Lion’s” logo; I just didn’t like to put the whole name as it might make look too much of a fan (even though I like White Lion :D)

Tatoos are for freaks.

I’ll say one good thing about tatoos. They help the cops identify criminals.

And I’ll say one thing good about people like, you’re so stupid that I don’t need to prove it.

Dude! Personally, I don’t care for tattoos and would not get one myself, but that’s a little over-the-top, don’t you think? We are asked to be charitable on these boards. :hug3:

I wonder if you say these things just to enrage others? I find it sad when people need to ADD more drama to the already difficult world we live in…🤷

How socially inept are you that you continue to hang around where you’re not welcome? Get a clue! Go away little person (certainly at least in mind).

I’ll say one good thing about your comments. They help others identify ignorant bigots.
